petterd has indeed ben among our better players at times, but he is a part of a bigger problem. we can and should be looking to do much better than petterd just because he plays the odd good game does it make him a good afl player.
too many poor kicks. too many poor decision makers. too many with with basic weaknesses and petterd is one of those players. quality and polish is badly lacking and petterd does nothing to help in this area.
our problem is we play far too many glass half full players petterd is one of them yes glass half fulls can have good games now and then but when really needed they fail.

Agreed. He has been serviceable this year but he is not the answer or the future.

Agree. Not ideal but at least he can lay the odd tackle, take the odd cintested mark and generally has a go, plenty who are worse and few of them didn't come as cheap....problem is though he should be handy depth at best, not a stuffing walk up start every weeek....
