I like Rance as a player but

1) some of his decision making at Wangaratta was Woeful in particular the instance where he didnt know what to do and kept running ... into trouble.

2) I dont like how he comes across when he is doing videos and stuff for the club. Ive been told hes a pretty smart lad but he comes across as untalented clown.

Chaplin is not better than Rance in any way and the only thing Griffiths (currently) has over Rance is size and skills. But skills don't matter when you get 3 kicks a game. Petterd shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as Rance.
In my view, Grimes is our best stopper followed by the prancing one. Chaplin a distant 3rd. They will be our 3 talls and if we play 4 then maybe Griffiths with get a game. It annoys me when people talk Rance up as a star defender but you're underselling him massively here.

Do you think Rance would get a gig in anyones best 22? Not necessarily as the prime guy but at least as one of the 3 talls?

Not 100% about being in anyones but certainly most. Would at least be an EMG for nearly every club. Probably struggle to crack a game when the Pies backline is full strength...even if he is better than Harry O and Maxwell.
