Cotch played a lot of the game at full forward, especially in the first half when the ball almost never got into our forward 50

Just got back from a very wet and cold Princess Park.
Ivan was the differnce betwwen the 2 teams.
Pushed forward and kicked 3.
His last quarter snap a beauty.
Lids was good all day
As were Grigg ,Houli and Shane Edwards.
Selection will be of interest round 1
Think we need Jake King in the team.
Had enough of Matty White, kicked a nice goal but makes too many mistakes.
Back line today as overall poor.
McGaune replacing Vickery in the 3rd quarter had an impact.

Thought Vickery was again disappointing. Needs some mongrel quickly.

Thought Ellis was very good.

Dusty, Rance and Vickery didn't play in the last qtr.

Agree with Jack interesting to see what they do for round 1. Missed Kingy's defensive pressure in the forward line.

Apologies to anyone trying to contact me on the mobile today poor reception out at. Princess park the more it rained the worse it got  ;D

Thanks Jack and WP for the eye-witness accounts.  Always better to read and hear from people who were there rather than an innocuous internet feed (although I did appreciate at least having that).   :thumbsup

How was Vlastuin?

Was not as prominent as his other games. Thought the rain would suit him  but he struggled a bit with the wet.

Having said they all did  ;D

Thought big Ivan was terrific

Cotch tagged heavily, though at times he seems to be trying to hard to be the "leader" if that makes sense. Kid just needs to play his game.

Lonergan turned the game today in a 5 minute period. Grigg was ok but his 'helicopter' kicks are back. Vlaustin played through the guts most of the day and is a certainty for Round 1. Lids and Cotchin were so so. Vickery and Jack are a continuing concern. Houli and Maric shared the Best for us IMO.

Very poor standard.

Overall they would have to improve immensely in order to be the 'Finals Contender' so proclaimed by players and officials

Got back not to long ago, has been forever since I've been there
Its hard for me to say how we went today cos part of me says wet, windy crap conditions and we played very average
Or I could say we went through the motions: a, to avoid injury and avoid showcasing to the dogs what we will play like in rd 2 or b.  To avoid mick and stix filming us on their cam corders from the smorgon scoreboard.

Either way I went with the attitude "its only a praccy game" but was quickly drawn into the game as longtime RFC friends  ::) Matt Stevic and Mc inery?(Balding number 3 umpire) were at their absolute finest anti- richmond imo.

Anyway

Martin, lids, eevan were good.
Was happy enough with tuck, griigga and co
White, well not going to bag him just going to say I like his heart, pace and determination but I may leave him out of rd 1 team, with an opportunity. To rejoin the team when he improves his decision making.

Was a dog of a day,  :shh but great to sit down, chill and watch a game of footy at a boutique stadium.

we cant beat carlton playing like this. carlton will smash us if we play like this in r1.

Did you watch Carltank last night Ramps?  They were every bit as woeful as we might have been today.  Pre-season = no relevance to reality.

I dont waste my time watching trash. Im a serious individual  :lol

Reckon Vlaustin, White & Petterd will play.

Would play McGuane ahead of Vickery

Not sure about Nahas, would have King in ahead of him

Have to say concerned as to how this stupid new rule re sliding into blokes legs is going to effect the likes of Morris. Morris sole focus is the ball and he dives towards it bulldog bloke comes in makes no attempt to get the ball but gets the free because Morris brushes his leg but at the same time Morris gets a knee to the scone. How is that fair? Not the first time it's happened this pre-season, as I said stupid rule

Oh and umpire No. 3 was Steve McBurney
