Commentators make me sick full stop.  They are the most gutless creatures going around.

They're position on RFC - we are a rabble and have been for 22 years.  I don't deny they're right.  But they offer no solution to our crisis.  They have their go at the club, but deny our right as supporters to be upset when we see the same things.

They criticise our style of play, but are too gutless to say Danny should go, even though they probably feel it.  Wallace has been the only one really to put his head on the line, but even though he bagged the crap out of our style of play, stopped short of saying Danny should go.  If we call for Danny's head, suddenly this line of Richmond supporters up to their stabbing the coach in the back again.

What in the hell are we supposed to do?  Most of them didn't pick Richmond to make the 8, yet their constant critiism of our club - when other clubs are going worse that us - really makes me so angry.

Has anyone heard the same vitriole directed to other perennial losers in the Bulldogs or St Kilda, or why such a power in the '80s club like Hawthorn escapes the same criticism.

No, we are an easy target for these guys to get their kicks without putting their heads on the line.

I would like to see them stake their reputations and say this is what i would do if i were in the RFC's position.  But they sit back and constantly criticise and take the easy way out.

They are scum, and it's them (not Richmond) that is turning me off the game.  I can put up with what's handed out by our club (even if i don't like it) because they are my club.

The media have power they don't deserve IMHO.  It's about time they earned their credentials.

We sell newspapers whether we're winning or losing thats why we cop it all the time. We also over the last 20 years never proven the jounrnos wrong in the long run. We might win some games on end or even make the finals once in a blue moon but we always seem to fall back on our own sword so they can pull out the same old garbage even if it's no longer relevant  >:(.

Speaking of Walls, you should of heard him drooling at half-time today as he has now jumped on the Saints bandwagon. Geez Robert only took you 10 rounds to realise St Kilda has a good side  ::). Watch him drop them like a hot spud (lol @ pun) if they implode as a Club like they have always done  ;D.

I read in the Sunday Mail that some professor at RMIT has proven that Eddie McGuire is biased towards Collingwood games when he is calling.  They examined several games and the number of favourable comments towards the Pies outweighed any comments towards the opposition.

Talking of Eddie, did anyone watch the Collingwood Weagles game on Friday night.

I tuned in thinking they might say something about Marcia Wiley which Eddie did.  Something like this:  West Coast have had a traumatic week this week with the passing of Robert Wiley's wife .......... oh I'll just stop there while Collingwood run onto the ground.

I died in my tracks - surely he didn't mean it.  Sounded awful at the time lol

I dare you to write/ring/email and complain about it to the Collingwood Football Club froars and demand a public apology.

I actually think he was struggling to think of her name that's why he changed tack lol.  But because it came out of his mouth, it sounded so awful.  Straight after Collingwood came on he resumed his story on Marcia.

I don't think he meant it to sound like it did - but it sounded a bit off.

I think you are right - he forgot her name and I think it was Gary Lyon who prompted him with the name.

IMO it was a bit disappointing that the Tigers didn't wear black arm bands as a mark of respect to one of our former champion players and his family

I think they’ll get themselves back on track Tigertailz.  If they had won say 5 or 6 games on the trot you could say that they were just a flash in the pan, but to go this far and be 10 and 2 says they’re a better side than before.  But we all know that there are no certainties in this game.

Where they could fall down, if anywhere, is that Thomas is better at people management than game strategies.  They came out on top against Brisbane last time, but down the track, in a situation where all else is equal, unless they have improved in this area in the coaching box, they could come unstuck.

However, if they’re going to be as good as some think, then it may not be as big an issue as it could otherwise be and it may not hurt them against most opposition.  Especially as the majority of the competition seems to be making up the numbers at the moment.

Praise where it is due - Wallsy did say on 3AW yesterday after admitting that he "loves" Duncan Kellaway as a player, that Duncan should not have played on Sunday and that it Duncan "isn't the future of the Tigers" and that we need to play the kids.

If Robert can see it ............... it must be.............. well you get my drift :-\

lol tailz. Although I can't see them (nor anyone else for that matter) ending the Brisbane juggernaut this year, in a year or two with the talent they've got they must go close. If the Saints don't win a flag in the next 5 years they never will. It's just nice to see a few sainter egos dented. Geez for Club that's only won one flag in over 100 years their supporters were mighty cocky.

Yeah MT Im happy for them .
To be honest, I quite enjoy watching them play.Grant Thomas is certainly on the right track.
I worked with 3 Saint supporters since 2001 and the absolute bagging they gave thomas every week since he took over had to be heard to be believed. They left my workplace last year but im sure they have different feelings now though!
He has a dour very focused and workmanlike character, who has incredible self belief which has flowed through to the Saints players. He is truly living up to Rob Butters quote of a few years back that"he is a leader of all men"
