i couldnt find the thread about simmonds but he proved on the w/e y we got him! thank god he was there in the last quarter for us, it allowed richo to run further dwn the ground and assist there, and thus we had snake at chf to kick too! that mark he took and oplayed on at 50 won teh game for us, that was an imposing, intimidating team lifting goal. in the last quarter he used his size and athletisism to get us over the line!

mark graham, a few ppl wondereed why we drafted him!!! terry wallace  must say "i rest my case ur honor" he played the most imprtant game of his entire career thus far not just at richmond! to keep brown goaless was just unbelieveable, no wonder he cramped badly in the last q!! :thumbsup

Simmonds?   Did someone mention Simmonds?

As for Graham - he's been great (I think I've already said this on another thread).  Doubly great the pic of him, Richo and Chubba all hugging each other.

Graham has been good all year in my opinion.

He may not have played much in some games, but when he has come on he has done the job asked of him. Very handy and reliable.

As for Simmonds, his confidence seems be growing by the week!!!

Look out Dees!!

To WP ......X........MT.......anyone else

              I was wrong!

I was at the Gabba on Saturday night and I have to eat my words Mark Graham was fantastic for us. Kept Brown quiet and forced him to the flanks for every one of his possies.

He not only kept Brown goal less X but he did the same sort of job on Bradshaw when the Lions swapped Brown with him during the match.
He never lost his focus at all - just stuck to his job.

I remember when Heebie Graham was drafted Tezza was very clear in his explaination as to why he did it - eg  mature body, experience, pinch hitter, professionalism etc - I said at the time I would trust Tezza's judgement and the results after 9 rounds is that Tezza was spot on.  :bow

I also remembering listenig to Heebie after he'd been drafted and he said that he was grateful for the opportunity, was looking forward to working with the youngsters and understood clearly what his role would be. Take the opportunity to speak to the bloke and you can tell he is really happy to be part of this club.  :thumbsup  So far it's been a win/win :cheers

No need to apologise to me HT. I too thought he wouldn't be able to do the job for 4 quarters. In fact when I was PMed before the game that Graham was going to play on Brown I thought uh-oh! Happy to eat my words too. Wallace has got the boys believing in themselves and each other.

Too right X. The beauty of having versatility in the side. Gives the coach various options to go with when required and creates mismatches to our advantage.
