Adelaide didn't look that great in their win over the lions.

True but the lions final qtr was awful

Is there any chance of Jamar winning a tap out this 2nd half.

Will Neeld last the year? That's the question.

To be honest I see a lot of them in us. Wasted draft picks.

God knows why they picked up Byrnes, Rodan, Dawes, shocking

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

I feel for any Melbourne recruit just as I've felt for any player drafted by us in the last 10 years.
When a club has awful culture, bad recruiters,  no development, no heart and stupid people running it then new recruits have no hope.

Tell me Tambling would've been a dud if drafted to the hawks or the pies?
I highly doubt it.
Richmond has ruined a lot of players careers just as Melbourne continue to do.

Thank goodness we are finally getting it right.
The club that keeps giving.

If Neeld's pre-game speech was anything to go  :facepalm, the Melbourne players looked bored and disinterested listening to him. Not a single word or even a "c'mon" to pump themselves up leaving the room. At least the Dees trained well over summer or so they keep telling everyone :lol  :wallywink

This has been a training drill for Essendon. Talk about bruise free footy with red and blue witches hats  :sleep. They'll win by 25 goals plus at this rate and be on top of the ladder :chuck.

Agree,
And when I looked at that score it just made me feel really dissapointed for. Their fans and to see them. Get beaten up by that wanker bunch from essendon. I think GWS will beat them in a couple of weeks, but I honestly hope that doesn't happen

Absolutely loving this. Even GWS put up a fight until fitness and inexperience let them down. If GWS get them in two weeks it might be lights for Neeld  :lol

And to think only 3 or so years ago I thought of Melbourne as a year ahead of us in terms of development. Just goes to show how fast things can go south if you stuff up crucial footy dept decisions.

Not sure what Neeld can do to improve the demons. You would of thought after pre-season training and a lose like they suffered last week they would of shown abit more of a fight tonight.

We better flog the demons when we play them. Good percentages booster.

Reckon he should have backed his young players and recruited more instead of trading them for nuffers like Dawes. It's not like anyone insisted they shoot up the ladder at all costs. Win/loss wise we were no different under Dimma at the start, but no one expected otherwise and the recycled blokes we brought in were all at minimal cost and at no expense of drafting more youth.

We showed more in 2011 than what Neeld has so far this season. I agree on the trading they would of been better of just drafting and seen how they went.

Dees' forum in meltdown  :rollin

This club is a disgrace. It is bruise free football.

Last week I was disappointed with the showing against Port. Today I am, like another poster wrote, ashamed.

I vowed to stick through all this at the end of round 1, however, after tonight, I will be posting my membership & my sons membership back to the club & my son can pick his own team to follow when he feels like it.

I will always be a Demon, but I will not let my 3yo go through what all of us go through ever  season.

Rock Bottom.

They've all got to go.

Neeld's pre-match address was mind-bogglingly inept. Poor bloke's lost the dressing room. Got no idea.

McLardy, Schwab ... on yer bikes. Resign now for the good of the club.

Or we go the way of Fitzroy.

The AFL will have to step in the MFC is incapable of running itself properly.

    pee schwab off NOW!!

You know what I hate. He's turned us into Richmond in the 90's.  Clearly toxic.

As I said in the game day thread based on his pre-game rev up he would put a chronic insomniac to sleep. One of the most uninspiring guys I have ever seen.

This Melbourne v GWS game in a fortnight takes on the significance our the Richmond v Melbourne game in round 4 in Wallace last year.
We will know 100% then if the players actually care one bit. If not Neeld is dead man walking.
For me right now GWS are favourites in that one.
