Knock off top of the ladder, lose a spot.
Lose a game, gain a spot.

Problem?

I just checked.  :banghead

Port will lose next week
The cheating scum will beat Essendrug.

Both will be on 48 points going into the final round.
I can't see port winning that game.

stuff you Richmond!  FFS had a chance to kill their year and stuffed it up!

Unacceptable!!!!

I couldnt see PA lose to blues at home, that means they're out

Don't be too sure BJ

I would think its more likely than not

They will smash bombers next week and be up and about for Port

Its going to come down to that and for the love of god I hope Port win.

We lost a spot on the ladder after beating Hawthorn. But because of Essendon and Collingwood copping pastings we actually gain a spot on the ladder whether we won, lost or drew yesterday. The Tiggy train rolls on.

We will beat Carlton if we play them in the finals. Of that I have absolutely no doubt.

Is that because of Dimma's apology letter in the other thread?   :whistle

I have doubt we won't
We have beaten then once out of the last 10 attempts and we just won that one

I don't want to face them in the finals not because of a first rd exit but it would be humiliating

Come on bombers and Port

Would much rather kick Carltons ar$e in a final than h&a.
We wil be owning them in the next couple of years.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Our players would have learnt alot out of yesterdays game. Secondly players like Cotchin, Martin, Deledio and afew others wont be kept quiet as they were yesterday - well at least not all of them at the same time, third I am almost certain that training at Richmond right now is really tough and has been for a couple of weeks, they will probably have one more week of tough training and then they will probably start to freshen up the players with lighter training loads, come finals we will be in good shape. Fourth Grimes will be fitter, McDonough is a young kid who struggled with the pace of the game yesterday he wont be playing, Newman, King and a couple of others will be in the side and they will add sufficient experience and hardness to the side. Overall I am very very confident will trash them if we play them in r1 of the finals thats just 3 or 4 reasons why we will beat them.

If we play them in the first final it will be to our advantage that we lost to them yesterday IMO. Revenge, an' all that.....

Finals crystal ball: Your club's predicted week one match-up
afl.com.au
9:00pm AEST Sunday, August 18, 2013

5. RICHMOND
52 points (13 wins, seven losses) 114.6 per cent

The run home:
Rd 22: Greater Western Sydney at Skoda Stadium
Rd 23: Essendon at the MCG

If the Tigers win next week:
- They'll stay in the top six, but would need to win the following week to guarantee staying there.
- Their highest possible finish is fifth.

If they lose next week:
- They can finish anywhere from fifth to eighth.

Predicted finish: fifth

Predicted finals match-up: Richmond v Essendon, first elimination final at the MCG.

5. RICHMOND

52pts 114.6%
R22: Greater Western Sydney, Skoda Stadium
R23: Essendon, MCG

Matt Windley says:
Blew any chance it had of making the top four with its loss to Carlton. Given it will start as a raging favourite against both Greater Western Sydney and Essendon, Richmond is more than likely to finish fifth. Should the Tigers win, and win well, against the Bombers in Round 23 then it's possible they will meet them again in an elimination final the following week. That's assuming Port Adelaide get in at Carlton's expense. If the Blues manage to sneak in to the eight, then a rematch of last weekend could be in the offing which may make quite a few Tigers fans nervous. If the Tigers were to lose to the Bombers in Round 23 then they can theoretically fall to as low as eighth, but would realistically hold their spot in the top six based on the draws of teams around them.

I'm nervous about the prospect of playing the Bombers in the finals. They creamed us last time.

If AFL360's story/interview with that DRast night is anything to go off it sounds like the Bombers are in the clear by and large. Hope they remain stressed out/messed up.
