I thought a sleep would do me good, but i've just woken up feeling absolutely numb and shattered.
2nd in the Coleman
3rd favourite in the Brownlow
Playing his guts out for his club when something like this happens
One of the cruellest things I've seen in footy
To more than likely snuff out such a promising career in one second.

I feel exactly the same Ox - I'm not gonna quit the Tiges, but feel very ordinary at the moment.
Hope you're feeling better soon Ox and Browny's life can return to normal as quickly as possible
 :'(

Fractured Tibia and Fibula (Broken Lower Leg Bones) with Fixation Surgery.
This medical illustration series pictures the bones of the right lower leg revealing
pre-operative displaced fractures of the tibia and fibula. Additional surgical images reflect the following:
1. Incision into the anterior knee region with a drill reaming the tibial canal,
2. Insertion of an intramedullary rod-nail, and finally
4. Post-operative view with fixation hardware in place.

I think you're right unfortunately, Ox.
He will be lucky if he walks properly again.
And for once in my life i'm not thinking how this will affect Richmond, genuinely care just for his well being.
I feel sorry for all his team mates too - they must be shattered for him.

As someone who follows other sports like soccer...and knows about players like Gybrl Cisse and others...when i saw it i had my doubts that Browny would play footy again, I hope it turns out ok. Give the guy every encouragement...geez this has been a poo 24 hrs

On 3aw now Ox - cos i know you're in the wilderness and not getting much info.

Surgery went well – fixed with a nail inside the bone and all went well.
Resting and will be in hospital for a few days.
More ike a car accident than a footy accident.
Six months injury and possibly longer
Browny was asking clear lucid questions and says he’ll just get on with it and deal with it.

Yze said the tiger players were stunned by the injury and disheartened

Richo visited him this morning and said he was in good spirits.

He’s in Vimy House

We'll try and keep you and other o/s ppl up to date as much as we can

David King visited Browny – in good spirits but quiet.

Ppl in the box couldn’t comprehend what had happened and it was pretty quiet in there
Says Nathan will do everything he can to get over it – a quality person and a real hard worker.

Gerard Healy said he spoke to a few orthopaedic surgeons and they said it will probably take up to 12 months before running again.

Joel Bowden got through the game okay – still lots of swelling but he will be okay.

Thanx love.

If u get news on the actual breaks would love to know.

I thought he may have broken the Tibia in 2 places from the pic i saw of it and that is what worried me.

The fibula i was unsure of.

Voss broke his leg in 1998 - the fact that he was able to recover is the only thing that I'm hanging onto at the moment. As soon as it happened I stood up and turned away as I didn't want to see the replay and I hope I never see it on tv.

Dale Weightman spoke on SEN and confirmed that they were "clean" breaks and I think this is the best aspect of a shocking scenario.

Ox - keep your chin up mate - we are all sharing your pain -

Sorry 4 carrying on like an old queen everyone.
I guess I've just gone into shock.
Was up till 5 am here, listening to game on the net.
When I heard Brown was injured, and going by the tones of the commentators voices
it was not a normal injury, I waited to hear BTs update and he just sounded gutted,
AW was just as sombre.

Sounded like parents tryimg to hide bad things from children only
they couldn't contain themselves.

Must be horrific to watch and I dont think i will be any thime soon.

It's a car wreck injury and my heart goes out to the guy.

I caight the incident on the way home from the game.

I stopped off to get something to eat and it had just taken place on the TV, to see the way in which Brown's leg was "hanging" was very gut wrentching.

I am glad that they chose not to show any of those pictures at the ground.

Hopefully the boys rally together and really stick tight.

Someone will step up and do the job. I would like to see Shultz given a crack at playing Full Forward for a few weeks.

I remember the year that Richo done his knee in Sydney. All of the boys rallied and had a great year. Hopefully it can happen again.

Go Tigers.
