Give the scumbag a life ban no place for a trainer to be assaulting opposition players in any sport. Throw the book at this individual. No need for it in sport.:wallywink
Or better yet, make him a listed Melbourne player and force him to play the rest of their rabble of a season in the Back line. No better penalty than being put at Hell's coalface.  ;D

THE AFL has fined Melbourne $2000 for the actions of runner Andrew Nichol, who stood on the foot of Richmond's Jake King during Sunday's half-time melee between the two sides.

Nichol, who is also the Demons' backline development coach, became involved in the feisty altercation when he tried to impede King, who was busy wrestling Demon midfielder Jordie McKenzie.

AFL Football Operations boss Mark Evans said a club runner may not make contact with an opposition player.

Under AFL regulations, a club runner is allowed to enter the field "for the sole purpose of conferring briefly with the players of his club (and) … must then immediately leave the playing surface", and may not interact with opposition players or the umpires at any time.

King was fined $2100 for his part in the melee, while McKenzie accepted his $1600 sanction for a first offence in engaging in a melee.

I love that McKenzie got choked to death and cops a $1600 for his trouble. Hope his widower can fork that sort of coin out.  :shh
