360 (and PS4) tech is nearly a decade old and developers are itching to push their games further. It definitely appears like a massive cost, especially if you're not a massive gamer, but just think after you foot the cost once that's it for many more years to come  :cheers

Many stores are no longer guaranteeing launch day consoles to pre-orders after the weekend just gone. Most will now have to wait for 2014 units  :o

In good news, State of Decay (360) has been approved R18+ as the ACB approved of the changing of stimulants to supplements  :cheers

You geezers see that a new AFL game is coming out? Different developer this time but the publisher won't tell us who. Most likely WickedWitch (who did an ass job on their AFL wii game).

At least Wicked Witch had a 10 year career mode and some VFL. Might be able to do something on a good console.

Been floated around for a bit and it's hard to know whether or not to get excited yet until we know the developer. The wii is an arse console and Wicked Witch tried making their game with the kind of features you find in an EA Sports title so keen to see what they can do with new tech. On the other hand Big Ant made the first half decent footy game but was massively let down by obvious small studio limitations.

Australian video game production is barren since the US publishers pulled the pin on Aussie devs and it's hard to see any really quality titles at all coming out of here at all barring indie games.

Big Ant seem to be on the improve with their stuff. WW have good features but ass gameplay from most reports. I hope they can do something with this game but I reckon we're in for an average at best game. Would have been good to see Big Ant have another crack

Rugby Live 2 is meant to be pretty decent which was Big Ant too. Some of the best fun I've had was sitting around with 5 or 6 mates on the pee and playing AFL Live 2v2. Had some really intense games and the stakes were always high. The game would go up a level because you could do overlaps, shepherd and the games were generally much faster with a couple real people on each side.

Pretty much all I do in Fifa and NBA 2k13 now  ;D

Agree it's so much better with a few people. Have to say if I got shepherded by a computer I'd crack the poos haha

Looks like arse http://www.trueachievements.com/n13999/new-afl-live-2-screenshots.htm (Coach was right, it's by WW) commentary by Dennis as Tom Harley. At least BT got the axe.

Only current gen, will sell like poo. I had planned to smash out GTA5 between release and PS4 launch then say good bye and pack away my PS3 and 360. This game doesn't look worth keeping the PS3 (despite what it says on that link it's on both consoles) set up for when I'm already going to be Fifa and Madden whoring on the PS4.

The Dennis Commetti fan page on Facebook chucked this up. Not sure where they sourced it from but I assume it to be true.

Some news features include-

Career mode

A career mode spanning 15 years will let you follow a player's career beginning in the under-18 TAC Cup, through the second-tier VFL league and finally — hopefully — through AFL ranks.
The mode will include full drafting and trading — two integral features of a realistic sports management mode — while also burdening you, as the club's manager, with sponsorships dealings, staff contracts and tribunal hearings.

More than 60 teams

Along with the 18 AFL teams — including the two expansion teams Gold Coast Suns and Greater Western Sydney Giants — teams from the TAC Cup and VFL will be included, as well as the Victorian "Big V" team, Indigenous All-Stars, and teams from the International Cup played against Ireland.

commentary from DENNIS COMMETTI & Tom Harley!

Top features but some info on the engine would be fantastic.
