Looking at what could come in it doesn't look good atm. Ellis will be out again so no midfield respite either. I'm desperate to get rid of Nahas, Lonegan, White, Jackson and even Foley for that matter atm but we haven't any ready made replacements. Arnot should be a given for Lonegan but I think he will be given another game. I pray that Helbig shows something for Coburg in the next couple of weeks because we need midfield options.

At the start of the year I thought we had an embarrassment of riches when it came to our midfield depth - now we look like we haven't enough. Bring on the bye.

Tuck, Ellis, Conca and Knights are injured and Cotch, Lids and Maric are hampered by injury.
Take the same quality from Essendon and it may have been a different result.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

Nahas losing his feet is a complete joke.
Last night was a perfect night for footy. No dew. Nahas made it look like an ice skating rink at times!

He must be dropped. Never to return.

A few of our boys slipped over.
Obviously had the moulds on. Unacceptable at this level players slipping over. :help
Players slipping is one of my pet hates.
There are the usual suspects which include Nahas and most of our back line (especially Rance).
Why doesn't the club look at this? Surely they realize if you fall you are automatically out of the contest!

Steve Morris goes to ground (by choice alot of the time BTW) a fair bit as well when he needs to keep his feet

We would've won by 10 goals if we were injury free like them

No we wouldn't, we don't have the heart, guts or mental stability, we are a rabble!

Dare i say it ...

I really don't care what they do

While they continue to play blokes who are happy to be coasting along getting gifted games why should I bother giving a damn

Cupboard seems bare atm doesn't it.
Play the kids and stuff the result we may unearth a gem or gems long term. :thumbsup

I agree with playing the kids but sadly theres not much left to bring up from Coburg. McBean should get a  game, McDonough doesnt have the tank so maybe give him a game as a Sub and play him forward in the last quarter. Elton seems to not have progressed, Arnot is hard at it but cant kick yet. Not much left to bring in. Thats why last years recruiting of recycleds was wrong. Should have just given the spots on the list to some new kids.

Yes, unfortunately it's getting that way isn't it! We need a real shake up IMO.

As I said in an email this morning to some mates who weren't at the game:

"If the club is fair dinkum about things then they have to start dropping the coach’s favourites. Too many of them are coasting (if you want me to name them I will!) because they know they wont be dropped. I’d rather play kids who’ll bust their guts for you and lose than to get beaten like we did on Saturday night."

It was only NAB cup but I think this was the difference. We had some young blokes busting their nuts against Essendon to try and get a game.

Hardwick, Nahas and Jackson.  Give us a real chance of winning.  If we don't get rid of those, can add to that Maric, Foley, Lonergan (why?), Batchelor, Vickery, Edwards, White, McGuane, Riewoldt, Morris, King, Houli, Grigg, Rance and Chaplin because none of them are capable of his game plan.

Ins:  I would like to see Elton, Edwards and Arnot.

Put Dea and Griffiths in the Reserves of the Reserves so we never have to see them again.  Horribly bad players even at reserve level.

Dea has been in the best almost every game for Coburg in recent times.  :whistle

Let's be realistic here . . .

Ins: Unchanged
Outs: Unchanged

Sadly that is the likely scenario, hence why right at the moment I don't care anymore

Dea was crap on the weekend.  You have to put someone in the best which is why someone who turns it over regularly in front of goal and can't physically compete at reserve level will see his name in print.  The only thing you can take from that is how bad the rest of the losers at Coburg were and they were REALLY BAD.
