But while the Tigers hoped to be active in the trade period that seems unlikely if both Martin and Conca sign, with GWS midfielder Taylor Adams also harder to acquire.

Club should look at something of value we could trade, or we will regret

agreed EEA.

club needs to be bold so we dont lose to teams like scum in week 1 of the finals.

sticking with our current line up and format wont get us past the lower reaches of the 8.

We need to move past the likes of Nought and Carlton.

Daniel imagine if our midfield boasted Cotch, Lids, Dusty Conca, Ellis, Vlaustin and Taylor adams. Thats what I regard as elite midfield potential.
Look at how young that group is bar lids who is only 26, throw in Knights, foley and players like jackson, grigg, titch etc dont even get a run through the midfield.

Ramps, We missed out with dom tyson, there has been rumor linked to adams since the start of the year, he has been in our sights and I will be dissapointed if we dont get him. Club needs to make hard calls on established players and make a good offer.

yep

and that for me means the end of Foley. A good servant he has been but this is what i call being bold.

Failing that i would throw Grigg up as a suitable trade.

Most richmond supporters think foley and grigg are duds and not best 22, why would GWS trade a top 10 rated player for steak knives? If Conca went to West Coast would you take Rosa and Dalziel?  ::)

maybe i wasnt clear TM. I meant use those as an upgrade or a swap of picks in order to secure Adams.

Of course Foley or Grigg alone wont do the trick.

e.g  Adams plus GWS pick 19.

for RFC pick 11 and Foley/Grigg

That could work
The club knows what theyre doing im sure of that  :thumbsup
But it doesnt hurt to speculate or have an opinion.
Weve lost tuck, and newman and king are getting on, we have one battle axe ruckman in Eevan.
We need to be smart and replace what we consider "quality" with even better quality if possible

Time to make the hard desicions and look at all trade options not just delisting blokes x, y, z cos they managed 3 games between them in 4 years. How about looking at the list and saying, yep hes a not bad player but do we want not bad or upgrade?

I agree on chasing, Adams, Longer and if this garlett is available later down the road too.

Grigg isn't going anywhere outside of the fact he re-signed in July he is a favourite (for reasons I've never understood  ;D) so he wont being moving suburbs let alone interstate  ;D

Well I'm sorry to say then WP we won't be making top 4, 6-10 is our best bet for 14.

Grigg is rubbish. People have found him out with his 22 possession game and 0 pressure acts on a weekly basis.

I don't care if he signed yesterday. Nor do I care if Foley or Edwards did. All 3 are the only value we have left, if Dusty gets signed. Trade one of them

Tough midfielders( sewell, hodge, mitchell, burgoyne, selwood) win grand finals not spuds like him

We need to trade for Adams no ifs buts or maybes

daniel, I'd trade Grigg in a heartbeat. Don't think I've hidden the fact that I don't rate him. His refusal to tackle and as you say his weekly offering of zero pressure acts is the reason I don't rate him.

But as I said he is a favourite so he wont 'be going anywhere, ditto Edwards. Foley perhaps seeing I was wrong about when he was re-signed and this year was year 1 of a 3 year deal. But really I am not sure a GWS would be interested in him with his injury history

Hows this for an option to get Adams. Pick 11 to the Bombers, Ryder to us and Gumbleton or Hooker to GWS and Adams to us. Probably a stretch but I guess it all depends how desperate the Bombers are wanting to trade into the first round.

Bombers get a first rounder, we get Ryder and Adams and GWS get an experienced Tall. Failing that, is Ryder worth pick 11 on its own?
