Rest should be done during the week, maybe just a light training load.

Otherwise go for the kill.

I'd only rest good players if the potential % won't improve our ladder position, but if the % matters then go hard at it.

TBBH I don' think we are good enough YET to be thinking about resting players.

Also don't think it is something you do a fortnight out from your first final in over a decade. Actually don't think it's something anyone does a fortnight out from the finals, good teams have done it usually 4-6 weeks out not 2 weeks out

It was clearly evident to me on the weekend that we are not in a position to rest players. Finals footy is four quarter footy. Until we can consistently play four quarter footy, then nobody gets an armchair ride into finals.
Also, resting players displays a kind of arrogance we have not yet earned. We are not Geelong. We are a club who has not played finals since 2001 and have not won a Grand Final since 1980. And on a more selfish note, the Skoda Game is one of the few times a year I actually get to see the boys play live, I want them to be full strength and smash the Orange Orangutan's into oblivion and to go with it a nice percentage boost.

For mine, its Pedal to the Metal on the Finals Express! And on this Bus, there's no stopping for Toilet breaks! (However stopping for the odd snuggy purchase might be suitable to boost team morale.  )  :gotigers

If we are not in a position to rest one or two players against a team like GWS, what position are we in then, come on, they have been getting pumbled...Lonergen for Cotch and Riewoldt for McBean should not hurt us in this game.

Boomer Chimp will need to play as he is in my Dream Team. Riewoldt will be sweet, let's just bring in Liam 'Boomer' McBean anyway.

Couldn't think of a better game to Blood McBean in than the GWS one!!!!

Only players we should rest IF we insist on resting are the younger players. Anyone 22+ should keep on playing. Even then maybe just use them as subs

No resting. Don't flirt with form, especially not two weeks out from finals.

Totally agree

The top sides routinely rest players before the finals.
