Every premiership team since 2008 (haven't looked further) has lost at least one game in the final 4 rounds of the season. There is absolute no reason to worry about yesterday's game. The increased training load will pay off when we smash the bummers r23 and win r1 of the finals...

Geelong lost to port  ( at home) late in 2007.....we all know what happened in the GF

Cats have had some shockers this year themselves losing to the Lions.
Pies against Gold Coast.

Every team puts a shocker in.

We are still 5th.

A loss at Richmond is seen as a tragedy especially to Carlton.
Our season is derailed.
In fact don't worry about waiting for the AFL to annul Essendrugs points, by losing to Carlton we have simply wasted the year and its not even worth playing the last two home and away games either.

Who on here remembers the 1982 2nd Semi?
Who on here remembers the 1982 GF?

By no means the end of the world.

Chill pill lads. Ask Hirdy for one. :thumbsup

Thats what I thought this thread was about at first...... :huh3
Then I scrolled down and saw the flashing red light, the panic button had been pressed....
The red cordial spilt on the middle of the floor and the limp and lifeless bodies of those that followed the leader....

Season over, we dont deserve it, sack dimma blah blah  :lol

We were cocky, and reacted too late to malthouses tactics, better luck next time

It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

what a deluded post. some of us have always been critical win lose or draw. in fact id say those of us with this minset have been the realistic composed and level headed ones amongst us.
after all we have no expectations of grandeur for the simple reason we have maintained we are not good enough.

i will go so far as to say anyone who thinks we have built something sustainable are greatly deluded .
a middling team is about right.  every yr middling teams make finals. thing is you remain a middling team if you sit back and think you have made it.
we have had 30 yrs of this just once lets do it right and continue to grow even if it means making some tough decisions on  half the list over the next 2 or three yrs. we are nowhere near being a top side and if we sit on our hands we will be bottom 4 quicker than you can wink.
when i say we can turn over half the list i mean half the list.
