Yes that would be a superb idea for us decent folk that live out east :clapping, punt rd will be used sparingly as it is off limits when there are mcg fixtures on  :shh

and what about the decent folk (and not so decent) that live up north?

Well if we play say 3 games at Punt Road that would help the good folk of the Norf, truth is anyone can get to flinders street and catch the train to Laburnum station and just mosie on down a few minutes walk to Box Hill Oval for the other games.

And what about the good folks living in the West, North West or the South?

To say that anyone can get to Flinders street is fair enough but if someone lives at say Williams Landing it means a 40 minute trip into Flinders street and then the change over. Don't think over an hour each way on a train is going to the liking of a lot of people.

And if they chose to drive it certainly isn't 20 odd minutes

BTW there isn't great parking at Box Hill. Agree great surface and much improved facilities but parking wise it isn't great. Have been to many a game Box Hill Oval and get there too late and parking is horrendous

They are obviously not going to please everyone. No disputing that

But they shouldn't IMV be looking at one area that favours one portion of the membership base.

Yes, the Waverley, Glen Waverley corridor has in the past been where a reasonable portion of members come from. But times have changed, and people are now scattered all over the suburbs.

I reckon they need to play games at a venue that is as close "central" to all members and close to our home

Let's be honest if it ain't at Punt Road, they can play it wherever they want, no one goes anyway.  :whistle

Yep 2 minute walk from Laburnum station. :thumbsup

Laburnam is the East Richmond station of the Eastern suburbs. Do any trains actually stop there yet ?

Gee, Melbourne's changed since I left there.  Never used to be any of those types out those parts.

Skinner Reserve is perfect, Glen Waverley is the geographic centre of Melbourne and where a good chunk of Tiger fans live
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I didn't realise we had a load of supporters out that way, is there a reason for that?
Glen Waverley area use to be our old Metro zone.
yep.  I grew up there in 70's & 80's and the majority of the kids followed the tigers as well.  We would all wear our footy jumpers to school :gotigers
