There's been some umpire shockers both ways tonight.

Cats up 90-70 at 3/4 time. Geez it'd be hilarious if the Kennett Curse carries on.

I hope Geelong hangs onhere. Hawthorn are a pretenders club. A chokers club if they lose tonight.

J-Pod has looked really flat this year and tonight.

thats what finals football is all about. Non stop action and contested ball.

Not putting the football up in the air

Thats the level we need to get to.

Varcoe could have tied it and blew it as did the Cats after throwing away a 20 point 3/4 time lead. Geelong's great era is over. They'll still be up there in the finals for the next couple of years but they won't win another flag.

Hawthorn's premiership to lose now. The relief of coming from behind and winning the hard one in a Prelim often relaxes the nerves and spurs sides the next week in the Grand Final. I don't want the Hawks to win and move ahead of us in terms of flags  :( but they are going to be hard to beat next week especially after losing the Granny last year.

Hawks should beat the Swans and Fremantle but I'd give freo a better chance at winning then the Swans.

Richmond should 'go past' Geelong now

I'm surprised that there are so many on here who wanted the Cats to win last night. Effing good riddance to them I say. I hate them. We have our own "Kennet's curse" against them that stretches back to 2007. That horrible match at Docklands when they beat us 222 to 65 still burns in my guts, and I still hate them for stealing Ottens. More recently, the way that dirty little stager Smellwood carried on with Chris Newman this year still sticks in my craw. The look on his ugly mug at the final siren last night was an absolute delight. I hope that with a rapidly ageing list their era of dominance is over, and we can start dishing out some long overdue and painful payback in years to come.
