What abt mav weller?

was a fairly highly rated junior if I recall, ramps will put a case we should have traded everything to get  him

when we end up with a maximum of 1 player at best from this draft and trade period and we miss the 8 dont come in here and complain.  ;D

And if we do will you stop whining?  :o
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Question for you geezers,

Darren Jolly. If we could have got him for 1-2 years at 300k or less (given he doesn't have clubs lining up for him he doesn't have much choice) would you take him over Hampson? I know I would. But maybe I am missing something.
I regularly go to Collingwood games because I'm mentally not all there and Jolly is done. The King Island Champ would jump all over him.  :shh

The King Island Champ has jumped all over the Big O and Hampster but no one seems to mind ;D Yeah Jolly looked old when I saw him play this year but he's been carrying injuries. He could still give decent service if the body was right, IMO.

Maybe. But he looks like an amputee with his limbs taped on to get on the park. Big IF that he'd be over those injuries. Also, he's a similar type to Maric. The club wanted an athletic ruck to complement him. They certainly have got that. Whether he was the right option only time will tell.

Anyone wondering why we missed out on the tantalising ruck/small forward prospect from North Melbourne, Taylor Petrenko, here is the explanation:

Quote
Hi wayne
Apparently Taylor did not have an escape clause in his contract an oversight by his management
therefore North would not release him.
Nevertheless North offered him $250,000 and on this occasion did not have an option.
Otherwise he and Richmond were ready to sign.

I'll be keeping an eye on the big Pterodactyl next season, hopefully we can facilitate a trade for this exciting talent.
