This my conclusion....Lyons game will get you to the finals and possibly a grand final ,but it aint attacking enough to win you one.

As much as I hate Hawthorn this is probably a good thing.

 :thumbsup
Yeah we're already going to vote for him mate, you don't need to keep selling it.....

Congratulations to Brian Lake. His move from Bulldogs now vindicated.

Hoping our 11th flag isn't too far away now :-\  :pray.

Premiership sides create trends. Other clubs not far away may now go hard at trading & free agency to instantly solve holes in their list given the foreign legion Hawthorn had today - Lake, Hale, Gunston, Guerra, Burgoyne, Gibson and to a lesser extent Simpkin (who came in today for Whitecross). They've also down well recruiting ready-made players from state leagues - Mitchell, Bruest, Smith, Stratton and Puopolo.

This my conclusion....Lyons game will get you to the finals and possibly a grand final ,but it aint attacking enough to win you one.
Yep too reliant on nullifying the opposition. Hawthorn getting a good start meant Freo couldn't apply scoreboard pressure, close the game down and play the game on their terms.

For mine, Freo played their GF last week. Too many of their players had downers today after almost a faultless game in the Prelim. Knowing from our own experiences with big games, it's been too much party mode and too much focus on Freo this week. As if they were happy just to have made a GF. Even after losing today, their fans stuck around at the 'G well after the siren when usually the losing supporters leave straight after the siren gutted.

I concur, what a bore fest. Total lack of skill and composure from Freo and the Whoreks weren't much better, 6 goals by half time, zzzzzzz

I went n watched a Hitchcock film instead after that and only flicked back for the score during the ads.

I was at a St Kilda game v the Whoreks a few years back and both dropped 18 players behind the ball.  It was 4 goals total by half time, people left.  It very much reminded me of that.

Ross Lyon must have been coaching St. Kilda back then.

Agree Ross Lyon coached teams in Gf's have scored

2009- 68 pts  2010- 68 pts & 52 pts  2013- 62 pts. Not attacking enough. To save the GF you have to be in a position to win it. That a Ross Lyon coached team was in 2009 and they still were not good enough to save it because they needed to kick a goal or two in the last to win it. Hawthorn today showed Ross Lyon how it is meant to be done kick the first 3 goals of the last to go 5 goals up and you have plenty of scope to hang on.

stuffing dumb stuffing pathetic excuse for a stuffing supporter base this stuffing poofter club are the biggest bunch of peeweak supporters if I've ever seen any.
Almost all of the turncoat poofters will be supporting another team soon enough once they've ended their window of success.
