North Melbourne has been Richmond’s bogey team for a long long time.

The Kangaroos just beat the Tigers when they’re not resting players like Round 23 last year.

There’s something about the Roos set up that finds a chink in Richmond’s armour.

The Tigers brain trust after last year’s finals defeat believe it’s the Todd Goldstein factor that destroys the yellow and black. So the plan was hatched that Ivan Maric as brave as he is as a warrior for the club would make way for the taller, high leaping and much maligned Shaun Hampson.

The belief being that Hampson can nullify or even beat Goldstein in the hit outs then the Tigers crack midfield will get first crack at the ball and the club will see a different result.

It all comes to fruition tonight for it’s a must win for Richmond if it’s to play finals this year.
