Where are the idiots who applauded this trade. 'Only a small % of picks post 30 are successful'....

I did make that point but I never applauded the trade so I don't think that was directed at me

Aside from that early goal  :o, it's like playing with only 17 when he's on the field. A big bloke who can't take a mark let alone a contested one and who falls over.

Wasn't directed at you. Won't name one poster who was all for the trade and argued about it for days.

The late Allan Jeans had a saying about sausages.

Here's one for Hampspud.

You can try him in the ruck
Or even around the ground
Try plonking him at FF
Or even a kick behind the play

But he's still and always will be a Spud

Memo to the club next time we have an on field need how about the club keeping its cards close to its chest and not advertise what it needs and thus spending overs on spuds or lemons. :help

He is as poor as it gets. It was concerning coming into the game with only one key forward. A.Edwards does nothing at all and Hampson is worse :P

I gather you are talking about me, but dont have the balls to say so. if so, show show me where i said the trade was good? that Hampson would actually be a good pick up?

I did show evidence to back up my view that second round picks have a surprising low success rate and that after the first round there is not a great deal of difference in the success rate of the picks. I don't recall you producing any evidence to counter that, then or now, nor do I expect you to.

I also said that if the trade was successful no one would remember or care what we gave up, but if it fails then it is a fail, regardless of what pick you gave up. A dud is a dud. what pick you give up does not change that.

Al, let's not go in circles. Nothing about having the balls to call someone out, but what's the point? We stuffed up and shouldn't have done it.

Hampson trade was always going to be a shocker. You argued we needed him to fill a void. But what's the point.

If you want evidence that post round 2 picks are worth holding. Ask Collingwood how Tom Langdon is going. Think everyone would have rathered rolling a dice on a kid than Hampson.

Pick 2 is better than any Rookie Pick. Anthony Miles is going OK.

It's as bad as the McMahon trade.

Al al al the master of talking through his date

Funny not sure who brought it up but was about to post the same thing about the credibility of al

Love the part where u said "if the trade was successful" do you actually watch sport cause if you did you would know this trade had zero chance of being successful. Zero zilch nada.

Wake up pal you need to start watching more games
