Just another side we'll watch pass us as we spend our fourth consecutive decade treading water.

We're a bit like the aborigines. Empires will rise and fall while we'll be still banging sticks and finger painting.

Thought Rance was poo.  Fans overrate him even more than Hardwick overrates Vickery.

Astbury's first half was a joke. first 2 goals were his fault. Second half much better though

Rance was pathetic for 4 quarters.

Astbury was our best tall defender and his game was only just passable in my opinion. Cost us a couple of goals but also did some very good things. Rance & Chaplin should have dominated. Who the stuff are forwards for GC? Dixon is the best of that lot and he was concussed during the 2nd. Chaplin was a joke. Don't let him near the kick ins.

I thought Rance comfortably beat his opponent and Astbury too apart from 1 or 2 cntests. Chaps was disgraceful, the way he stood his man instead of running to spoil swallow  5 metres away  was weak and summed up his night. Couldn't even receive a handball without fumbling

Disagree. Thought the conditions made it a bit hard for a forward and Lynch still took some good marks on Rancey. Kicked a couple of goals and dished off one he could have easily kicked himself. Rance wasn't horrible but he should be giving baths to blokes like that. Can't believe some Tiger fans reckon he is the best defender in the comp

I was there tonight and I am going to defend Vickery.

To me, he presented ok but dropped mark after mark and couldn't get a handle on the footy. His tackling etc was pretty good.

I think what cost us tonight was GC were used to the humidity causing a slippery ball which skidded around and we were not.

I've seen Dusty play footy for a long time and if he wears a glove you know it is a hard footy to handle. If not for that Vickery probably kicks 5 and we win for mine.

I'm more interested in Riewoldt. Does his media ban include not appearing on camera during games?

Why didn't others wear gloves then? Darwin fiasco all over again.

We need to start controlling the controllable actions as they all add up to play a major part as to why games like last night happen. Why would a leader of the club (Chaplin)who is an ordinary kick at best take a kick in at all let alone take it when the game is on the line. Houli, Vlastuin or McDonough only...its not that hard :banghead The best teams have have systems in place that don't allow this to happen. Players hanging onto tackles too long (Grigg) and giving soft easy frees away, not necessary at all. Jack playing for the easy free kicks and Vickery playing from behind constantly. Lazy kicks (Cotch, Grigg & Petterd) that go out on the full or miss the target by miles hurt, it goes on and on. Start controlling these actions and we might play like we did last year against the Hawks more often. Pull you fingers out and fast.

Let's not single players out, the entire performance was as weak as pee, typical old school gutless crap of the highest degree from Richmond. Very disappointing, we would have to be the laughing stock of the AFL, REGARDLESS if it's round one or not, the sky is not falling but stuff, I pay good money that I earn to be part of this club and I deserve better than that crap last night.
