NB: there are only 2,100 tickets available

FARCE

Actually it's a non-farce. We're reducing capacity for the safety of those that attend.

the only farce is that the tickets were available to bummer fans.

It's an AFL game...anyone can attend.

Actually got no problem with the number of tickets availabe because that is clearly dictated in part by OH&S (Worksafe) requirements

My biggest gripe as everyone knows is the time of the game  :banghead

whats the point of having the game at a time when more people can attend, if you can only get 2100 in?
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Fair point but originally when the game was announced it was going to be at 4.40pm

Why couldn't they have left it at that? With the work going on the ground capacity was always going to be an issue no matter what the time they played it

Beside don't you think it would be great having footys flying into Punt Road during peak hour?  ;D

I guess the VFL game has to be second seems it's free of charge. Meaning people can come in after the AFL game. If you have VFL first you've then got to kick people out and let them back in if they have a ticket which would be a nightmare.

We since worked out Essendon had their Family Day on the same day, hence the early start.
