Pool at Punt road?
« on: January 02, 2014, 04:30:10 PM »
Just trying to win an argument with an Essendon fan who says besides the new small pool and spa inside the me bank centre there is no full size pool (25 metres) at punt road. I was under the impression that we did get a full size 25 metre pool in around 2006-2008 before the current facilities were completed and it is also a public pool and was funded by the local Yarra council.

Can anybody clarify ? Also if it's a public pool I wouldn't mind trying it out myself.

The swimming pool named in honour of the late David Mandie is located in the middle building between the new ME Bank Centre and the Jack Dyer Stand.

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new Richmond pool to the Klim Swim family. Located at the Punt Road Oval we share our water with the Richmond Football Club. The brand new four-lane 25-metre pool is an ideal learning environment for all ages.

There is a pool, but it's run by Klim Swim so they do all the programs for it.

"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

In keeping with the thematic value of the indigenous centre, I propose the implementation of a Dam filled with yabbies.

This won't be possible as the players aren't allowed to use a pool on RFC grounds because it is run by klim swim. Great plan that, build a pool at punt rd and the players aren't allowed to use it.

I have it on good authority that the players rarely use it due to Michael Klim being an arrogant prick
