Had a squizz at the replay yesterday. The last goal that Jono Brown kicked in the dying minutes was solely due to the softest pullout of a contest by Shaun Grigg you'll ever see. He could've easily chopped that kick off by showing just a smidgeon of courage. Woeful scared effort. Should be dropped on that incident alone.
Wish I had the gif. You blokes would get a good laugh.

Don't worry dice, that didn't go unnoticed amongst the supporter base around here  ;D

That and the houli incident that dermie highlighted in the post game breakdown are just unacceptable and as long as incidents like that continue to go unpunished by the coaching staff, we will always be found wanting under the extreme heat of battle in finals or big games

OUTS: Grigg, Ellis

INS: Deledio (if fit), Lennon and if Lids is not fit then bring back Foley at least he will tackle & chase unlike Mr Terrific, just Terriific TM Grigg
Grigg or Hardwick will retire one day and then he'll be on the outs list.  :lol

Fixed.

Replay of the game. Check the last BL goal and see the replay of the mark after the goal. Weak as by Grigg. Its when the game is dead and buried the real courage comes out. Grigg pulls out, pathetic.

If Lids and Rance return then I would suggest that Grimes and Thomas may be the casualties. I don't think Lids will be ready though

Saw Rance at W'stwn today, still walking with a bit of limp, no way he'll be playing next week

Long odds any of those happening, what's houli done wrong, Maric knights and rance are still in recovery ward , all at least a fortnight away

I would like to see Lennon get a shot in this game, maybe for Grigg or Edwards.

Watching the saints game.. All their players are giving a huge effort defensively, running back and tackling ect. We need to bring in hungry young players like Lennon and McDonough

What was the Houli incident? I seen a couple not sure which one was picked up though

The one where he was running at the ball from one side and the Brisbane player was coming from the opposite side like a head on collision, he chose to short step and follow another Brisbane player around the ball instead of going straight at it and wearing the hit, passed within 1-2 metres of the ball. Then Dermie showed vision of Vlastuin in the exact same circumstance going straight at the ball, wearing the hit to the body and dishing it off.

Houli did the same thing last week again with cloke coming head on, he pulled out and ran around him within 1-2 metres following his man instead of going when it was his turn. Ive been an unabashed fan of Houli, but these past 2 weeks those incidents have been unacceptable and are indicative of the culture of our side atm. Some Players don't go hard enough

I sort of forgive him pulling out of a collision with a man mountain like Cloke but he has no excuse with any of the soft lions players bar Brown.
Houli is not a defender.
Because he can kick he is played down back. His position is wing or HF.  He does lack the kamikaze courage needed as a pure defender.  It's just not his gig.

Another example of players played out of position……

Waiting for Griff to head back to have a stint as FB again….. :banghead
