Vickery kicked 3.

McBean kicked 3.

Bathie kicked 3.

Would like to know who drew the toughest opponent and how many of each goals were cheapys over the back or gimmes set up by tye hard work of others.

Anyway, the last thing we need is to bring back a pea heart off the back of one ok game against a crapola vfl team

McBean has better form over the last few weeks from what I understand
Mcbean looks to kick most of his goals from ground level working his way around lumbering vfl Backman rather than towering marks, he won't get away with at at afl level tv took 7 grabs, if griff doesn't own it tomoz, he s out tv is back in, simple

Its clear the club has put 0% work into defending momentum.

After the loss in the final vs Carlton where we gave up a lead of 30 odd points, this is inexcusable. Absolute disgrace that we have to cop this sort of crap. The playing list is as strong as it has been for 10 years yet regardless of who we play against if they have the momentum we have no structure, no leadership, no tactics or direction to deal with it. Its obvious that the best players in the team are left with the responsibility of dealing with wrestling the momentum back.

FFS, Fix it.
I find the problem is we've put too much work into slowing down play. So much so that we play slow now far too much.
Our best football is when we go long and quick. Our worst when we chip and go short.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

seems to me without seeing the game that it was a typical vickery game. kicks two or 3 goals with little else and the little else is overlooked.
how many contested marks. how many 1% how many h/o how many contests given. bobbing up for two or 3 ihere or there is the problem when he gives so little in other areas.

i can see em talking him up and his game they did when he was in the seniors doing exactly the same thing. yep in next week never mind the real issues have not been addressed in the slightest way.

its a real worry that nearly all of our talls bar ivan lack mongrel aggression and toughness. vickery is the worst of em all in these areas.

So all the other multiple pressure acts and inside 50's and tackles that Griff does don't count because Vickery kicked 3 goals (the last 2 in the last few minutes) and took 7 marks against a weak VFL side?

Ressies with the same problem as the Seniors  :P.

-------------------------------------------------------

“The team was quite good, we worked really well together, [played] some of the best footy we’ve played,” Richmond VFL coach, Tim Clarke, told Roar Vision.

We’ve struggled with our offensive ball movement most of the year and we’ve finally come to a game and played for two-and-a-half quarters of the style of football we expect from our players.

"We were really pleased with how we played in the first two-and-a-half quarters, but very disappointed that we couldn’t finish off the game.”

They all get smiley stamps on their hands after the game.

Richmond VFL coach Tim Clarke's summary of how the AFL-listed players performed:

Jake Batchelor
14 Disposals, 5 Marks
Didn’t play as well as the previous week, and needs to get more involved offensively. Still played well on his direct opponent, but we expect more from him at VFL level.

Todd Banfield
1 Goal, 15 Disposals
Best game he’s played for the year. He had 15 touches, kicked a goal, had two or three shots and finally brought the energy that we’ve been waiting for him to provide.

Ben Darrou
21 Disposals, 7 Marks
Outstanding again. Had one goal kicked on him but his defensive positioning was terrific and offensively he contributed really well to the side.

Aaron Edwards
2 Goals, 26 Disposals, 7 Marks
He played a role through the midfield, which was a bit different to where he’s been playing before he got injured. He’ll be a really good player for us this year and always gives everything he’s got.

Todd Elton
1 Goals, 19 Disposals
Keeps improving. He performed well as a forward and competed well when required. He went into the ruck at different times and then went down back in the last quarter and played his role well.

Ben Lennon
18 Disposals, 7 Marks
Ben was really good off half-back. He was rested at three-quarter time by the coaches in case he was needed in the seniors on Sunday. He had plenty of intercept marks and some really attacking play, but we still need him to work on his disposal.

Liam McBean
3 Goals, 8 Disposals, 4 Marks
His first half was exceptional. He still needs to keep working on the basic things that we’re trying to improve with him as a player, so that if he goes up to AFL, he can really fight and compete.

Kamdyn McIntosh
17 Disposals, 6 Marks
Played on the wing most of the day and contributed a lot in the first half, but then went out of the game in the second half. We expect some more involvement from him.

Anthony Miles
30 Disposals, 13 Clearances, 6 Marks
Miles was outstanding again and has been our most consistent player so far this season. Had 30 touches, 13 clearances, five inside 50s and a shot on goal. His hardness at the ball and his approach to his footy is second to none.

Brett O’Hanlon
16 Disposals, 5 Tackles
Another good game, but slightly down on his numbers from previous weeks. He used the ball much better, which is pleasing, but we need him getting another five or 10 touches and hitting the scoreboard.

Orren Stephenson
1 Goals, 25 hitouts, 18 Disposals, 10 Marks
Orren was fantastic for three quarters. He was the most dominant big guy on the ground, but we just needed a bigger effort from him in the last term. He had three or four shots on goal and 10 marks.

Ty Vickery
3 Goals, 17 hitouts, 17 Disposals, 7 Marks, 3 Tackles
Ty was terrific, and played a lot of time in the ruck. He was much better with the defensive side of his game. It was really pleasing to see a guy challenged and come back to VFL with an outstanding attitude, and he kicked three important goals in the second half.
