I was listening to MMM pre game at the ground. Newy was interviewed and he said he wants to go on.
Can see the club doing this whilst a kid gets either delisted or rotiing away at ressie level.

Then in the last 12 months we have extended the contracts of Grigg by 3 years, Edwards by 2 Foley by 3.

This time next year we are looking at locking in Dusty again, :help
Add Cotchin to that and then the club will use the excuse we need the salary ap room.

People here want Fyfe, Dangerfield, Hannebery etc we have got no hope they are out of our league.

If these players do come home to Vic then expect them to seriously consider, Collingwood, Geelong or Hawthorn as they are the best Vic teams with the best footy operation systems on and off field going around.

We are a half way house for footy players who have no prospects anywhere else.

RFC are the lost and found of skata. Other clubs lose and we find it, gold plate and keep it and pass it off as gold bullion when in reality a piece of skata anyway you look at it is a piece of skata.

Yep - Arnot will  get shown the door so Newman can get a farewell tour.

Do we really have cap room? Do you believe the club on this or is it all more timely spin?

How much room? 100k is still room but its stuff all.

Doesn't matter who we may want

Who will to come to Tigerland? Based on the mess we are in right now = no one

Not true. Melbourne, GWS, Gold Coast all attracted players when they knew there were some painful years ahead.. Money is a persuasive thing for players.

I struggle to get AM bands at Etihad as I listen to SEN normally but being at Etihad I listened to MMM.

Wayne Carey, Wayne Schwass, and Hamish McGloughlin were asking the questions.

It went along something like this.

Chris your 32 this year, 33 next year any thoughts of retirement?

Would love to play on.

How is the body holding up?

A few niggles but I'll be right.

So no thoughts of retirement?

Well if there is a role in the team for me I am happy to play on for as long as they want me.

There you have it Angus the above Q&A is not verbatim but it is along the lines of what was said.
I got the impression he does not want to retire and the club doesn't want him to either FWIW. Made me cringe TBH. :help

Don't know what Dan Richardson's comments today mean with regards to the above. Wait and see. :help

With the extra Salary cap room we can wait for White and Nahas to come out of contract and get them back! :lol

I'd give Newman a rookie position.  He can then play VFL and be around if we get a few LTI's.
