I'm sorry Damien but massive stuff you. The reason why the team is stuffed is the expectation that Martin, Cotchin, Deledio, Jack will carry the entire team. Ellis, Houli, Vickery, Chaplin, Newman, Jackson have all gone backwards. Yet your solution is for the club's best to pick up the slack of a complacent B team.

And remind me how is it unfair to blame a recycled player? What is their role in the team? I'd like a clearer definition of Griggs', Thomas' and Hampson's role which makes them immune to criticism? Because at this point in time the only role they seem to be playing is to block the development of a promising youngster stranded in the VFL.

And to top it off he makes a really daft comment about being surprised by Anthony Miles. I really feel for Miles. I have grave concerns he's going to cop the Shane Tuck treatment.

:clapping I am so angry at this stuffing clown, everytime he opens his mouth I just wanna  shout at the radio, he's bringing the worst out of me. Just stuff off dimma

When you're 3-10 it really doesn't matter what you say it will all sound bad.

When you're 10-3 you can say things about Martians and Ox's and people lap it up as gospel.

Dimma's got to rediscover the winning feeling. He is sinking fast.

 :nope

If he said the truth about the recycled duds and the senior players like Dusty and Cotch not being able to do it all, then people would have more respect for him. What kid of an idiot blames the senior players alone and not the hacks he has brought into the club or the ones he signs up to multi year deals where really they deserve SFA.

His in denial and the club is losing thousands by the day by the lack of crowd numbers. By the end of next year his payout will seem like a drop in the ocean.

Cubs to earn their jumper
John Lindon
June 26, 2014 3:26 PM

* Asked about our cubs in the VFL and if they will now get games in the seniors?
The majority of our young talent is in the side, they’ve just got to play to a higher standard.”

Full article at: http://www.richmondfc.com.au/news/2014-06-26/cubs-to-earn-their-jumper

And when the young talent CBF performing at the expected standard? Logic dictates they get sent to the VFL and a 'lesser talented' player who would go to hell and back to try and win for the team and the supporters replace them.

Steele sidebottom isn't blessed with the talent of Pendlebury but he gets games because he gut runs for his teammates and the supporters.
Matt Priddis isn't blessed with the talent Cousins/Judd/Kerr had but he gets games because he works hard for his teammates and the supporters.
Shane Tuck isn't blessed with the talent Cotchin, Deledio, and Martin has but he never gave up and never left anything on the field.

I didn't think it was possible but I have lost more respect for Hardwick for having this stance that a more talented player who is half arsed would take precedence over a less talented player who will give it their all. This philosophy alone is enough to destroy the club forever.

Yeah theyve completely lost me.
RFC are like the titanic heading to gilligans island, we will either sink to the bottom of the ocean never to be seen again or end up on a deserted island for another 30 years   :shh

Ive earmarked 2 home games to take my son to his first afl pending weather conditions otherwise can get lost.
The anywhere, anytime Tigers.

The man is clearly deluded. Here's a quote from that presser which isn't in the article above >>

“We’ve just got to make sure we rectify it and get our players playing better footy and us as coaches getting better again also because we realise we are better than what we are at the moment.’

Someone please tell this man to stop saying that. We are NOT better than where we're at !  'Where we're at' is exactly 'where we're at '! FFS !  :banghead

He also stated that he won't be gifting games to kids from the seconds. Unbelieveable !  It's not gifting games it's called list management Dimwit. Let's see what they can do at the level before making a decision on them

This bloke makes Wallace sound like Neil Balme

Nice post Dice.
He's right, we do have some talent but he's so wrong - we need to desperately develop the next tier of unproven talent to step up and replace the recycled players who aren't good enough
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

* Asked about our cubs in the VFL and if they will now get games in the seniors?
There are some guys that are slowly putting their hands up at VFL level that we’d like to see at some stage, but they’ve got to play some better footy to earn their jumper. We’re really strong on that.  We’ve had our period of giving games out, but we’re not at that stage now. The majority of our young talent is in the side, they’ve just got to play to a higher standard.”

The bit I've highlighted is something he said a couple of weeks ago, when he said all talent was in the AFL side, and that at VFL level the ones they wanted to bring through were actually injured. Looked it up and at the time and there were only 3 blokes injured who met that criteria

It was when he made that statement he lost me completely. You want kids to step up but at the same time you basically say outside a couple who are out injured there's no ones else to promote. I know I harp on it but what messages are the kids who busting their guts getting sent with dribble like this?

Then to say you have to earn the right to wear the jumper but over 15 weeks you constantly play blokes who have been terrible and let the club down, you know it's called gifting games ... Well it proves that your hypocrisy knows NO bounds.

As I said he lost me completely a few ago today's presser just reiterates why

The kids in the VFL may not have been playing blinders every week but nearly all of them have played at least 5 or 6 good - very good games each. Hamspud, Grigg, Newman, Shankwards, Thomarse, Ellis, Vickery, Conca, Houli, Hackson and Chaplin have barely played that many good games between them this year.
