Father turns up heat over brothers' futures

Clokes on the line

A POST-season meeting with Collingwood will determine if out-of-favour backman Jason Cloke seeks a trade or not.

Cloke's manager, father David, also raised the possibility his other two sons, Travis and Cameron, could be out of Collingwood in the future.

"Everyone's a realist in today's football, anything can happen," Cloke Sr said.

He said his three boys wanted to stay at Collingwood, but if VFL-entrenched Jason was forced to leave to play senior football so be it.

"You never know, down the line, if that happened the three of them might play together at some other time," Cloke Sr said.

Asked if that was a simple throwaway line or a possibility, he said: "That's a possibility.

Asked if clubs had contacted him about Jason, Cloke Sr refused to comment.

"I've got no comment on that, I've got no comment if anyone has contacted me about any of them," he said.

A former Tiger premiership player, Cloke Sr said if Jason had to leave Collingwood, he wouldn't be upset if he opted to go to the Tigers.

"If he had to leave to play football, it wouldn't worry me if he played in Perth, Brisbane or wherever," he said.

"I've got nothing against Richmond and if that's what happens. . . well, I've got no problems with that at all."

Seems that if you get one Cloke, ya get ‘em all.  Thanks, but no thanks.  Who needs the aggravation.

Wouldn't Jason be handy as a backman though?

In my opinion, backmen like him are a dime a dozen. He's like Ray Hall, but less mobile and a less penetrating kick.

 ;D

This all comes back to the Pies desperately wanting the 3rd one. Not the second or the first but the 3rd  - Travis.

The other 2 will be discarded by the Pies over time I reckon.

I actually don't want any of them.

And just as a sidebar I don't think it's a good thing that Father Cloke is the kids manager as well - at what point does he sperate the 2.

To me it all comes across as sooky sooky running to Daddy

Travis would be the only one I would consider.

BTW WTF does Damir think he is. ::)

Jason Cloke is a dud. He had one "good" year in 2003 playing the spare man in defence roll whereby he didn't have to worry about an opponent or  winning contested footy. Once opposition coaches manned him up he never touched the footy again as he's too slow and unaccountable. That's why he's playing for Willy. I wouldn't even trade anyone on our list for him. That's how big a dud Jason Cloke is lol.

Don't even think about getting him Richmond  :help

Aren't we all glad we went for Cogs instead :thumbsup.

I see the Footy Show used your Damir Cloke joke last night, well done Ox!

I thought they might be scanning this site, they should have rolled OER in the credits!
