Geez we are all a bit sensitive aren't we! Hardwick was obviously asked a question about White so what was he supposed to say?? ""yeah he's crap, glad we offloaded him. Been lucky falling into a team like Port that carries his game...". :banghead Monitoring is not targeting. Coaches would monitor every player's form in the lead up to a match. If he said "Look yeah nah, we'll focus on completely shutting White down with regular rotations and close checking" then I would have a problem with Hardwick's comment.

Read the article again and see how it really played out...

"He's a player we know well, we'll monitor him and hopefully we negate those qualities he brings." Hardwick said this and from it Schmook wrote

RICHMOND will mark former Tiger Matt White closely in Sunday's clash against Port Adelaide at Etihad Stadium AND...

"said he would keep a close watch on White" Schmook not Harwick

You all fell for the Schmook spin  :lol

I haven't been a fan of Hardwick's current coaching decisions, but lets not be sucked into troll articles like this with Journo spin which is deliberately trying to get a rise out of disgruntled folks like you and me.
