TRAINING- 3/8/05
« on: August 03, 2005, 11:08:31 PM »
I missed the Deledio incident, but I caught most of training today and took a few mental notes.....

POSITIVES:
Richo- looks fine. participated in all drills, including contact drills, my uneducated opinion is that he is fine for Freo
Gas- looks in perfect condition. Dominated one on one contests, and showed the youngsters a thing or two on the track today.
Foley- seems itching to get back in. Took a mark over a 6'6 player, may have been Schulz, much to the delight of Wallace (he was beaming after he took the grab) BT and David King clearly enjoyed it too.
Rodan- participated in about half of the drills, didn't do any contact stuff.
*The kicking drills were pretty good, a lot better than our atrocious kicking against the Blues.
*The spirit of training I thought was OK, there was some encouragement, I must say, some of it seemed a little forced.

NEGATIVES:
Tivendale- just did a few laps today. I didn't realise he was carrying an injury......
Morrison- made a few mistakes and got told off at least twice by Wheadon. The first was inaudible, the second, Wheadon said "Morrison-too slow by hand AND foot"
Roach- still has this habit of blazing away for 30-40 metres and then not knowing what to do with it.

POSITIVE: My flatmate took some photos and I learned how to use photobucket!

Great work DC. Thanks for that :cheers. Seems Terry upped the ante at training.

Was Cogs and Tuck given a bit of an easier run? They carry most of the midfield load on gameday and we need others to step up and help out more.

not sure if they were but terry did say weeks ago they would have a modified training program as their bodies were showing signs of fatigue

Both of them trained fully.....Chubba didn't do the long kicking and running drills, and neither did Staff or Knobel, which I presume is standard. They just got the big fellas to practice contested marks.

Them again, I could hardly take my eyes off Deledio yesterday, he's great to watch...

Excellent Pics DC! :thumbsup It's great to see training photos of the boys as we get zero coverage of the tigers up here in NSW.

What was the Deledio incident??

Wish I could take credit for the shots, but my flatmate was watching me write the post so I had to credit him!!! I'll stick a couple more up and if anyone wants just send me a message and I can send them out to you.

Deledio copped a blood nose is all I really know.

I've always wondered about that. It seems ok when you're there. The carbon monoxide levels can't be great, I wonder if that gets tested?
