Because be was our only recruit ? Hunt has really pee'd me off the last few games. So panicky and horrible disposal. Plays scared almost when he's disposing. Would like to see Lambert replace him soon

Not his fault he has contracted tigeritis  :shh

See that's the difference, i can see something in a player before they are actually dominating. Dea is a step ahead of VFL footy and has what it takes IMO  to become a good AFL player.

I find it interesting that you rate Dea under this criteria yet see no future for McDonough.
I don't rate McDonough Smoker, and I haven't seen anything that tells me he will be any good. I have in Dea. Not really sure what you mean about the same criteria?
Just my opinion and as I've said I hope I am wrong.
But what I do think is he should be given another chance at senior level but if he fails to show that he belongs I'd say it's his last chance. Apart from not rating him, I just don't see a position in today's footy for him.  Not nearly quick enough, agile enough, cunning enough to be a small forward. Not even close to being a midfielder for nearly every reason there is, and not strong enough or have that desperation to be a backman.
What position do people think he could make his mark in? And who's spot would you want him to take from the side that played against the Eagles?

We don't have a productive small forward who kicks goals while pinch hitting in the mid field BT. McD is very clever and is a lovely kick.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

he's a natural footballer, not an athlete - In the Paul Broderick mould ( No, not saying as good)
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

I'd play Lloyd as a small forward before McD and Lloyd is an average AFL footballer. Both are short but both play more as a lead up forward as apposed to a crumbing small forward which we desperately need.

yet he had three clearances in his one senior game with limited game time, and often gets good numbers of them in the VFL. Pretty good for a lead up forward not much good at ground level.

Seems to be playing more as a traditional backman the last few weeks. Feel like he's just enough to keep his spot each week.

Yep was pretty much unnoticeable this week so that's better than the past few weeks with his turnovers

The Buzz: Trading hits and misses of 2015

Jon Ralph

THE HITS

TAYLOR HUNT (Richmond): They got him for nothing and on that basis he’s been a handy pick. Tagged well at times, averaging 17 touches. Not a match-winner but doesn’t need to be.

Can't believe we have no one better to take this blokes spot.

Sorry to say to the believers but he is a very average footballer

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Doing his job apparently along with Batch, Newman and Morris.. :whistle

In all honesty he has been average in the last two weeks, I am a believer as up until then I thought he was going ok. Yesterday he butchered the ball as well.. :-\
