Back to the VFL....play in the guts and develop as a tagger.... :shh

Send his ping pong bum chum Butler back to VFL and play him on ball there as well.... :shh :shh
Yes Georgie even made me angry yesterday.
Only thing saving him is so many injuries and he also had a limited preseason and probably deserves a little slack.
Rioli was given the same slack last year after no preseason.

Butler’s time is up and unfortunately for him he is not a midfielders hole.
Time to give Baker his spot.

No slack after Saturday. Was absolutely horrible. I’ve defended his ball use in the past but he took butchering to a new level this week. Both he and butler should be dropped.

Worst disposal I've ever seen in an AFL footballer....

Needs to work much harder and that should be in the magoos....
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Almost fell over when George kicked that one straight through the middle from 45 lol.

For his skill faults (missing Ellis 5m away by hand is right up there :facepalm ), Dimma won't drop him if he's getting 8 tackles per game. About 95% of our score tonight came from Swan turnovers on the back of our pressure.

Pressure and tackling about as elite as it gets. Won’t be dropped, will be interesting who makes way for jack, there isn’t anyone obvious that comes to mind.

Worst handballing I’ve ever seen from an AFL/VFL player ever which is why he’s the most frustrating player on the field.

But he is doing an excellent job with his tackling and pressure which is why he is there and that’s more important for us.

I agree with that ^^

It actually staggers me how sloppy his handballing is. its like he needs to go back to auskick and learn from scratch again.

But at this stage the other elements of his game, just as staggeringly, pretty much make up for his appalling disposal.

People seriously think that was better game from him? What because he finally kicked a goal? We left about 10 goals out there and he was responsible for at least half of them..not to mention Sydney taking the ball up the other end as a result.don't care how good his tackling and pressure is , can't continue to carry a bloke who butchers so many scoring opportunities & forward entries, kills momentum and causes as many attacking passages of play to breakdown as he does...just a shockingly bad player with ball in hand.... :shh

Thank god somebody said it. He was terrible yesterday. Skills terrible. Kills momemtum at key moments. I know he tackles and chases hard but he is for the most part a VFL standard player.

I am no great fan of George, his footy smarts are terrible IMO.

However, he keeps getting games, so he obviously plays the role that is asked of him.

Personally, I reckon he is one of the best tacklers in our team. It is a key part of our forward game plan, and George makes them stuck better than anyone else we have. So until we get a better forward tackler, George stays in I guess.

If he didn't tackle we'd be mentioning him in the same breath as JON.... :shh

Lol - tackling might’ve been why we thought he was better.

Except one was a top 10 draft pick and the other was a rookie listed player

Nobody! And I mean nobody has ever ran off the ground during interchange as quick or as perfect as JON, he was an absolute natural! Castagna has a bloody long way to go before we can even name him in the same sentence as JON.  :rollin
