Nice what Lambert! In many ways he is the barometer of our club. We need his hard link up running for our structure to work. I was disappointed with his output prior to this match like many others on this forum but am stoked he found his mojo today!

I had work all day and didn’t get to see the match but am excited to check out his performance

Seems the opposition are tagging him heavily this year especially with our midfield outs. Another quiet one tonight. Only touched the ball 5 times despite 92% gametime.

Needs to work through the tag issue, very poor game tonight by his standards
He is not on his own as a few players rely on Prestia , Edwards and Cotch to extract it

Didn't do much but at least didn't stuff up when he did unlike a few others...... :shh

Not a great game from Kane which is not the norm. He needed to step up last night to provide midfield grunt and leadership...sadly didn't happen...

I can’t remember if Lambert was at the centre bounce at all?

If they were tagging him, play him in the middle at the centre bounce.

Just felt their 3 midfielders bullied us yesterday as we played kids.

Was disappointing for him, Caddy and Dusty (slightly)

Boak, Wines and bursts of other players.

We need to work on the centre clearances WHEN we are being beaten!

How did St Kilda beat them?

Has been shouldering a big burden with much of the usual midfield out. Looked absolutely physically shot last night and basically played as a permanent forward. Hopefully he can recover with this longer break.

If tracker is anything to go by he ran 13.4km last night, the most of any player. I can never fault him for working hard to get to contests. I think a rest will freshen him up.

He also had the most pressure acts of anyone on the field and five tackles.  :clapping

Been tagged when Cotch and Meatball aren’t playing and he has struggled

Must improve: Kane Lambert

It was one of Lambert’s quietest outings of the season. He finished the night with just one kick and nine possessions total which is well below his best. His intent was there evidenced by five tackles but his work in attack was not as prolific as it usually is with just one inside 50 and one score involvement. Lambert is so often a barometer for how the Tigers play and was slightly off his game, but as he did earlier in the season after a quiet performance, expect him to bounce back swiftly this week.
