I'm surprised he's already received his membership.  Normally they make him wait until a few hours before the first game after we've all had to put up with his grumbling about it for weeks!!   ;D ;D

Bump.

Cotch interviewed on Ch 9 news at our season launch tonight. Not much said except for reiterating that this year we'll be expecting our improvement to come from our young guys like Conca, Vlastuin and Hunt stepping up more.

I attended

Richo was the MC

A few players interviewed

President spoke well

KB was excellent

Left just after 9 because I was starving so didn't hear from the Coach or CEO

That's about all I can really say.

Dimma re iterated about looking to take our opportunities feeling we have reached a list where we have a core group who have reached around 100 games experience so its time to focus on success.

This time last year we had 15 blokes who had ops whereas now we have 5 so we have a strong list to choose from and 29 have been shortlisted for next weeks game.

The club is looking at the season in blocks of 4 and taking it from there starting obviously with the game against Carlton.

Aim is to win a final and take it from there. There is no ceiling on expectations.

We haven't played a complete game yet in his tenure and when we do he'll be eating a sandwich in the coaches box.

Benny spoke about where we had come from in that 2009/10 period on and off the field and where we are now. Time to build on the last two finals series.

Great night, players were friendly and approachable. Found them engaging and polite. Jake Batchelor and Ben Griffiths standouts with Anthony Miles and Nathan Gordon remembering from last year and stopping to have a chat.

May I say had a chat with KB and a true gentleman. Glad he has put his exile from the club behind him and has come back and embraced the club once again. :thumbsup

Have to agree with you there Don, the majority were. Some still don't make much effort to mingle which is disappointing. But the majority are great

Terrific bloke is Jake Batchelor  :clapping

Gotta cut them some slack I'm sure some of them, despite being professional athletes and being forced to mingle with people, struggle with that sort of thing

Late night last night. ;D

Might I also add that Richo during his role as MC, Cotch, KB, Dimma and Benny during their speeches made note of Mick Malthouse mentioning Carlton won't lose a game.

Club it seems to have taken those words and made it is mantra for next week to ensure that statement is dissolved this time next week. :thumbsup

Will always cut the newbies some slack but blokes who've been the system a while and have had a lot of training in this sort thing are the ones I'm talking about

Some people just don't like it and I reckon they are doing enough just to show face let alone talk to anyone
