Ch 7 news last night reckoned Lids will get 2 weeks - reduced to one with an early plea. Apparently, that's the lowest penalty if the MRP sees the contact as collecting an opponent's head.

Yep if they deem it "medium contact impact" then that's the lowest penalty

If they grade it higher he will get more

That's why I reckon he will go, medium impact, not going for the ball per se, chose to bump = goneskis

On AFL Game Day Lids was the only one they said was in trouble, even though the Suns & Pies ones were worse!!! The Collingwood one was very similar to Lids - go figure!

From the AFL WEBSITE.
Brett Deledio, Richmond, has been charged with Engaging in Rough Conduct against Simon White, Carlton, during the first quarter of the Round One match between Richmond and Carlton, played at the MCG on Thursday April 2, 2015.

In summary, he can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Carlton Football Club, it was the view of the panel the incident should be classified as careless conduct with medium impact to the head. The offence was classified as a two-week sanction under the table of penalties. The player has no applicable bad record. An early plea can reduce the penalty to a one-match sanction.
