Assistant Coaches
« on: April 12, 2015, 01:36:37 PM »
Okay so could someone with a bit of intel on the RFC tell me who are our assistant coaches, esp our forward coach who must be sacked immediately.

IIRC we lost Leppa and Campbell and replaced them with SFA in 2014 and only grabbed Rutten at the end of 2014.

We also have choco who was/is unwell so surely we have tried to ease the load on him?

I am just curious what Peggy Sue and Brendan Fail do with the funds if they are not spending it on assistant coaches

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

We don't have any. Dimma is doing 3 jobs to save some money. As you can see we are delivering results this way and there's no need to stuff around with a winning formula.

Don't think that is the case
All positions have been filled and have been for past 3 years
Dimma is the Senior Coach and that's it

Leppa and Campbell left after 2013 and were replaced by who Jack?

We are effectively 2/3 short as i dont believe Mark Williams provides anything in helping with our forward structure

There is a Richmond website with a list of all staff. It might be an idea if you bothered to go there firstly.
Mark (the lesser) Wiliams, sacked from Melbourne, was employed while Cameron was still at Richmond and has been our forward coach since.
We gave Smith a job as an extra coach when he was replaced by Beveridge at Hawthorn and he took Leppa's spot a year later but has reverted to a general defensive role with Rutten's appointment last year.
Campbell had not coached for a period of at least a year when he left. He had been setting up the reserves structure.
Mellor and Choco had Bailey and McQualter added to them as development coaches before last year.
Daly also left to go to Lions end of last year with Leppa.

sorry red i was being sarcastic as i knew who the coaches were, i should have articulated it a little clearer. I just forgot about Daly  :thumbsup

I really thought someone could have given me something that i may have missed, which clearly i haven't. We are 2 less coaches down from 2013. Dev coaches are not assistant coaches so basically we lose daly and replace him with rutten and mcqualter, straight of school.

The admin department and those in charge have most probably given themselves a pay rise with all the money that us members pour into the club. I guess they thought after 2013 we are premiership bound so who needs to spend money on the coaching dep.

What I love seeing at other clubs is how Ratten for example can go to Hawthorn and even though Clarko has won flags and Ratten hasn't he does not feel threatened in any way by him. Same for other former senior coaches at other clubs.

Whereas with Dimma we get blokes out of retirement and other than Ross Smith we have blokes who come to us as a first port of call and offer no experience in the box. Ross Smith may not have personal intentions to coach a senior side.

Does Dimma feel threatend by more experienced assistants that may? Clearly I think it does. Hence we get outcoached so often.

I'm not sure if you ar correct Don but it's a very good question that needs answering by our chief honchos. I hope we are challenging enough of each other as the club looks to take the next step from a mid table team to the being a top 4 team.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

Bump

The wonderful and extremely professional decision to only replace one of Leppa, Campo and daly with Hudson has done wonders for our kids development over the years

Sack Tim Clarke now. Loss to coburg last week and in general our development is proving more and more each day he is clueless too like his hawthorn buddy dimwit
