Tim Watson after Morris recovered Grigg's shyte kick then passed it back to him to set up his shot  - "Morris usually makes good decisions with the football in his hands"

No wonder St.Kilda only won six games in two years under him.
"Much of the social history of the Western world, over the past three decades, has been a history of replacing what worked with what sounded good...."

More of a chance that this will happen compared to us winning a flag  :lol
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

but our ball movement was terrible. Players first instinct is to go sidewards towards the boundary which gives the opposition time to get back and have good structures.

Not disputing that but I wasn't talking about our ball movement. I was only talking about our tackling in the first half. For something that has been practically non existent for the 1st four rounds it was a small positive in an otherwise terrible day.

Raise the obvious question thought why can't they do it for a full game, week after week after week

In the first quarter our tackling was good. I think we got about 3 or 4 holding the ball decisions. From then on the tackling intensity dropped. Agree ball movement was substandard. It was slow. We over used it-handpassing when should have kicked it. Made us very predictable going into attack. Jack did not have a chance and Vickery was not providing an effective foil and was wasteful of the chances he got. Geelong were understrength yet Scott again outpointed Hardwick. Most damning for me is that we came out flat. It appeared only Maric came out with aggression and it took an act of aggression from Cotchin to get any sort of passion from other members of our team excluding Jack and Maric. Before that only a tackle from Jack had given any indication that the team was going to apply themselves.

The beers are 1.5 pots in size and $7.30. No difference in price to a lot of city pubs. I actually reckon the price for beer isn't that bad.

Must confess to having washed down a couple of pies with more than a couple of draughts.

Anything more than $4 for a pot is un-Australian
