Jury is out on Lennon
Don't reckon he can play
Plays scared in my opinion

As it posted earlier thought he took a small step forward today re playing scared.

Went in for a the hard ball without fear of getting whacked today a few times - so that's a positive.

Long way to go but compared to 2014 when it never happened a small step forward IMHO

OUTS: Astbury (terrible and slow), Hunt (shocking), Vickery (cameo King as always)

INS: Grifiiths (if fit), Deledio (if fit), Grimes

Grimes was poor today IMO WP.

Only suggested it because he has some pace compared to Astbury who is slower than me and trust me I am veerrryyyy sssssssllllloooooowwwwwwwww

If Dimma wants to learn from games he should start at his level and work up.

The half time Auskick would be a good start.

The thing is that the Roos will be embarrassed by their performance and bury us next week,  we come out after a poor performance last week and follow with what some will call an honourable loss, two different attitudes, two teams with different abilities mentally/physically and different standards. We do a lot of talking following bad losses but we don't walk the walk, it's about time this changed.

This may seem dramatic, but...

OUT:
Maric - Give him a rest. Bloke is almost finished as a ruckman and Goldstein will annihilate him
Morris - Spaz
Lloyd - No good/too slow
Astbury - Too slow
Batchelor - Not good enough, tries hard but
Hunt - Spaz
Newman - Finished/waste of time

IN:
Hampson - Yes, I know he's terrible around the ground. But he's our best 'tap' ruckman, we need him VS Goldstein
Lids - If fit, desperately needed so badly it hurts
Arnot - Much needed toughness/mongrel and will have proper crack
Thomas - Much needed toughness/mongrel and will have proper crack
Dea - Much needed toughness and will have proper crack
Elton - Can't be as bad as Astbury atm, deserves another shot
Griffiths - Need 3 talls, and likely our 2nd best KPF
Gordon - If Lids not fit. Can take the vest.

And if people don't like the idea of Dea/Thomas/Arnot I'm happy to start trying some of the new draftees. But the reality is our midfield will always be physically disadvantaged when you're going in with blokes like Cotchin/Edwards/Grigg/Miles etc. Need some physical presence in there to win the proper hard ball.

Hampson can be subbed out in the 3rd quarter. Finish the game with Vickery/Griffiths rucking.

Probably get smashed anyway but I'd like to see Hardwick make some tough calls and try something new like above... Will never happen though...

Thomarse & Gordon should never be seen at senior level again.

Plays scared in my opinion

Personality is of one who gets ahead of himself, believes he is better than he is.
The disappointing part of this is that he spent time at the club before we drafted him as a first rounder, Patrick Cripps and Cameron McCarthy went directly after him. Could do with either in our side right now.

Lennon wreaks of Alex Gilmour mark II

My team for next week with 6 changes:

Morris       Chaplin         Rance
DEA          GRIMES        Houli
Ellis           Vlastuin        McIntosh
Martin       GRIFFITHS   Riewoldt
Edwards    McBEAN      DELEDIO

Vickery     Cotchin        CONCA

Int - C. Ellis  Miles   Lennon  sub - Grigg

Obviously will not happen as a few favourites are missing :whistle

The only time I have seen Vickery play good footy was in the ruck. Maric has been poor so far and only needs to play against fellow dinosaur ruckman moving forward. Hampson whilst his tap work is elite, he is the biggest spud going around during general play. Not the answer.
Vlastuin must play in the midfield for all the reasons we we selected him in the first place. Tough, hard, good decision maker, good kick, etc.
Dea and Batchelor are similar players but I take Dea. I see something in him and prefer him down back.
Lennon with his skills must be played for a period of time IMO.
McBean comes in for the third tall after 2 solid games in the VFL. Looks like he is chasing and harassing with better intent than last year. Its his time :thumbsup

Anyway my 2 cents worth which is more likely along way off most.

Lids if fit in. Persist with Lennon. Decision to play Astbury on Hawkins initially was sheer stupidity. Rance should have been on him from the beginning. Maric played okay against Geelong. Prefer him over Hampson. Hampson does not do enough around the ground.

Alot of humility in this thread. If only Dimma learnt a bit and called it how it is.

People should be congratulated imho

I'm telling you know if Matt Thomas comes in next week I'm done with Hardwick.
