For the sake of two EF losses Hardwick's now essentially taken us back to 2004 levels.....and yes Jackson, Hartley, Richardson, Burge etc and the people who hired them are all equally culpable....

I think our skills are poor due to the fact we overuse the ball..handballs that travel centimetres..is truly mindblowing

Always come from someone who has time and space to KICK the ball but decide they rather handball to someone under immense pressure :banghead

Comes back to decision making & composure. Blokes like Cotchin, Martin, Riewoldt & Vlastuin were all good at these things when they arrived but it's hard to maintain these atributes yourself when you're surrounded by so many headless chooks and a dumb coach who discourages flair and players thinking for themselves. If we somehow convince Shiels to come to this rabble or bring in some other talented players but other things don't change, they'll probably just start serving up the same shyte after a while too....

Dimma Dissection uses stats, today showed why stats are a complete furphy, yes you have stats to measure some KPIs but we consistently rate highly in clearances and inside 50's but fail to win games. That tells me that we cant execute and we cant execute because we simply don't have the individual ability of other teams nor the confidence of our so called game plan.

We have no player who could win a game off his own boot, we don't have enough players who can weave in and out opposition defences (Sheds is probably our only one, Cotch sometimes but seems to have lost his zip, Dustry is a one trick pony with his palm and opposition sides are now prepared for it) and set up a team mate or score themselves. We don't have these sorts of players solely due to the safe recruiting policy of the club. We so badly need to pick up some match hardened, skilled and speedy individuals which in time (yes folks another rebuild coming up) will be the sorts of players needed in our leadership group.

Did anyone know that Newman played today, what a waste of space when his position could be taken by a younger player. We still clearly lack running speed, how many times today did our players get run down, we have no awareness, no speed and just poor skills. I just lost count of the number of 20 metre passes that had to be picked up on the half volley, surely a professional footballer should be able to nail a pass like this without issue, yes the odd one misses but we consistently fail to hit chests, players having to dive and take miraculous marks when it should be so easy. We make a relatively simple game so complicated, not sure if this is Hardwick's game plan not being executed by players or if the players have simply lost confidence in the game plan (if we have one at all).

After watching today's game it is clear our season is over, don't expect the heroics of last season, that was a flash in the pan, we are in serious trouble guys and Hardwick will do very well to coach this side next season. The next four weeks will be losses so we will be 2-8 with no win in sight because at the current rate i really cant see us beating any side in the competition.

Look we lost Griffiths early, Newman with a hammy and Deledio/miles/rance and vlastuin all came off with blood rule which affected our rotations, we're really pleased we won the clearances. We know where we're at and where we're going.

Yes Dimma

If it wasn't for toilet paper id have skata on my fingers. Hang on. :help

Most of which went down once the game was over....

Only highlight in Hobart today was the fire in the Ponting Stand. Gave us something else to concerns ourselves with rather the crap that was happening on the field

So glad I have no more interstate trips booked for this year.

Newman being on our list is a clue as to our clubs mistaken priorities
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Newman being on our list is a clue as to our clubs mistaken priorities

95% of fans knew that Newman going on another year would be a mistake. Fans who are not on the inside of the club and who aren't paid professionals in the sport.

So there's something wrong when the professionals who have the expertise and access to all the info get it so wrong compared to the outside layperson. Conca over Heppell is another example of this. Hampson for a second round pick is another. We could all list another 6-12 examples.

So Drilling down further, what are these mistaken priorities? Have we overrated our list?  Is it an innocent series of poo decisions? Is it Jobs for mates with performance a secondary priority. Is it structure over substance? Are the powers that be just not cut out for it all? Is it a mixture of them all?
