Griff talking about his year so far ...

VIDEO: http://www.richmondfc.com.au/video/2015-05-31/round-9-the-richmond-review

* I feel really confident, I just need to get a bit of match fitness back. I think I only played a quarter in three weeks, which was really frustrating. I’ve just got to keep playing my role and then, hopefully, I can start building from there.

* I thought my contested marking was starting to get a bit better as well. It was really good to start clunking a few but it was a bit annoying that I slowed down in the second half.  That’s where I need to get better and start playing the four quarters.

* If I can take five marks a quarter, I’ll be having a pretty strong impact on the team. It’s just a building block - go from there and start hitting the scoreboard a bit more.

Not fit enough which I find disappointing after all the talk coming out of the club about how fit he was. He looks spent in the 2nd half, needs to improve his aerobic capacity.
Jackstar said he sustained a nasty corky in the second term.  If you have had one you would realise how they can hamper you.

Just waiting for the day this guy kicks properly straight. He'll jag 4-6 goals in a game eventually. Hope to god I'm there at the MCG...

Yep. Doesn't look capable of getting to contests and crashing packs as the game goes on. Need him to be a reliable target in the clinches.

If he had kicked that goal in the last, all would have been forgiven.

We are a better team with Griff and Tyrone BOTH playing. They are not duds when then ball is on the ground for 200cm players.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

There would be 17 other sides that would be happy to have him

You can tell it is in his head now. Never looked like kicking that one in the last. Hopefully he drills a couple and goes back to kicking with his natural motion.

Help set up the win in the first quarter but was mostly not sited after that. Should have IMO been sub in the last quarter leaving both Ellis and Menadue to give us more run. He is coming off an injury and little game time recently so it made sense to me subbing him. Even Richo in the commentary said that one of Vickery or Griff should have been sub. Anyone else agree?

agree BT, richo laughed at himself when Ellis was the sub, but I agreed with his logic and call

Tone, Richo is a star and was just being respectful IMO but deep down I think he thought it was the wrong move. Best quarter of footy I can remember EVER watching that first quarter. Our pressure, skill level and free flowing footy is a credit to all involved, it's the first time I've been really impressed with the way we played. Our second half we went back to playing a bit negative but that's what you can do when you have a great lead.
