Can't question the endeavour tonight but how many times did we lose a contest to an unlucky ricochet out if a pack of players. Seem to be like human pinball and the ball just seemed to fall to Freo more often than not. I suppose we put this one down to experience but fear its going to be the start of a run of losses given I can't see us beating the Hawks and our confidence following that game might be a bit low. Will be a test of how far we have come as a team as to what sort of performance we can muster next week after such a gut wrenching loss.

Grand Final winners, win these games.

Just sayin'....

Grand final teams beat poo sides like demons, dogs, norf and cats. That should have been only our 2nd loss of the year
And you may not think I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do

I thought they were better than us in the last half hour of the game in the clinches. we tried to go with them but they were getting the ball out. nevertheless I think we are an improved outfit and the players will learn from this experience.

Free didn't win it we lost it

Missing set shots 30-40 metres out is unacceptable. Lost count of the posters after number 3

Captains after being gifted a free not even registering a score when the game is there to be won is unacceptable

A certain player going back to bad habits of refusing to go in for hardball when there was a 50/50 contest in the last 4 mins just forward of the centre wing is unacceptable

Sam Lloyd trying to kick the ball into the top deck of the southern stand in the 3rd qtr after a great handball from Grigg who gave him block as well rather than running right the a metre out from goal was unacceptable

Terrible loss, good sides don't lose games when you all you have to do is hold possession for less than a minute.

And here is a tip Bachar, stick to the game plan rather trying some, thing that clearly goes outside what you are trained to do

The brutal truth is as much as we try we are still not quite there yet, its undeniable but true, games like today go towards making us a better team as much as it pains me to say so. Does anyone truthfully expect us to get to he Grand Final, in our dreams maybe but in reality no. So essentially these sorts of games provide the building blocks to bigger and better things. Under Hardwick we have definitely improved, what we need now is another injection of class in the right areas and we are going to be thereabouts. Don't get me wrong, our best is very good and on our day we can match it with the best but we just have that lack of polish that is hurting us in games such as the one we lost tonight.

Actually if Houli had of kicked the bloody itching straight away rather stopping and propping allowing 4 dockers to close in on Lambert we would thought it was brilliant

But he was too slow, it was like he listened to the cheersquad

But personal I reckon he should have gone towards the boundary just like he had done every bloody other time
