If the Tiges  don't turn up for the last two games, they can go stuff themselves.
Caracella and Balmey.

The prospect of playing North 2 weeks in a row is so interesting. If it pans out how I'd expect, we could almost effectively choose our opponent in the first week of the finals PRESUMING that we get it done on Saturday night.

I'd rather the dogs or the crows tbh.

Tigers set sights firmly on Dons

Essendon performed admirably under caretaker coach Matthew Egan, in his first game as a replacement for James Hird, going down by just two points to Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium last Saturday.

“They’re playing a different style of footy a little bit under Matthew,” Hardwick said.

“The one thing we like as a coach is predictability, and it’s very hard when you bring in a new coach because their style of play will change somewhat.  So, it’s going to be a challenge for us.

“I think they’ve always had a high play-on rate, but it was noticeable they were attacking the corridor and probably a little bit more direct than they had been previously.

“They’ve got some key forwards . . . (Cale) Hooker going up forward’s been a real bonus for them.  I think it’s made (Joe) Daniher a better player because of his presence down there . . .

“So they’ve swung a few things around, and they’ve got some very good players.

“Any side that’s got that talent is capable of beating anyone if they don’t come thoroughly prepared.”

I can't recall the last time a Richmond side thrashed Essendon which suggests to me that Essendon always lift when playing us. Therefore need to turn up switched on and play the same way we did against the pies.

Even with Cotch out, the bookies still have us as overwhelming favourites tonight.

Richmond  $1.10
Essendon  $7.50

I think our highest ever winning margin against the Bummers is only ~70 points. Let's set a new mark, triple figures preferably.

Late in 2012, we smashed them in general play and had 37 scoring shots to their 17. However, we kicked inaccurately and so the final margin was only 45 pts: 13.24-102 to 8.9-57.

Just got to make sure tonight we aren't complacent and come out strong in the first quarter like last week. Touchwood no injuries either  :pray.

Ordinary crowd. No show from Bomber fans.

Wet footy tonight, Tiges. Hard at the footy, keep it simple and kick long and direct.
