I thought North had a good go at it, their 1%ers was something our team could really take note of.
Umpiring was different to most games played this year.

Also a very good point.
Actually another very disappointing finals series by the dockers.
Kangas will have 7 players on their list aged 30+ next year and 4 who are 33+
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I dislike North, not with the same passion I dislike Carlton, but certainly they are up there.
In the same breath i certainly respect them.I think its a club with a small supporter base ,limited finances, but which has remained up or near the top for the best part of 40 years now. They rarely bottom out like we have done.
So what is it about this organisation that permits this?
i hate to bring this old chestnut out once again but for me its the culture of the place ,a willingness despite the odds to work their butts off(the whole organisation)to succeed.
Maybe if we want to take the next step we should look at clubs like North as an example.By the way i used to classify hawthorn the same but they have taken this to a new level and built their club into a powerhouse, but again i think the ethos is the same as North

Gtfo...lol...  It is called the culture of AFL handouts keeping the bastards afloat without which they would of died and vanished years ago.  A chip on your shoulders is not an ethos and it will only get you so far.

Hawks won a gf last year with 6. the team they beat had 5.  The hawks will go into another gf with how many.
I have never understood the hang ups with age. 22 OR 32 IF THEY ARE GOOD ENOUGH YOU KEEP THEM.

Heres a theory for you. At Richmond we have had so few play into their 30s because we have never had enough players good enough to play that long.

If we were in NM shoes and did not rest our players when we had the chance the abuse would have been deafening. Also you have to laugh at our lot putting down a club that in this milenium alone has constantly out performed us yet they are the dud club. What hypocrisy.

I was going for North last night .

In a wierd way , it would of made me sleep easier at night . Made our loss to them more honourable and less of a fiasco.

It never ceases to amaze me. Our season is over and we are not playing, yet the dick measuring gets worse.
It would not be so bad if we had actually achieved something anything the last 15 years.  Yet we are yet to win a final or finish top 4 since 2001 .It seems three inglorous e/f losses is good enough to warrant arrogance.  The sad part is those supporters cant see how stupid they actually look and they paint us all with the same brush.
