Stagnated. :shh

FFS 21 votes in the brownlow coming in at 7th. How can you possibly think he's stagnated? :wallywink
You really don't follow the stream of conversations on other threads do you......

It was a send up of claws comments on Vlastuin. :banghead

Oh, so you were baiting/trolling/sniping?
Just for you darling! :lol
LOL YOU werent baiting trolling maybe sniping but mainly you had your nose pout of joint.
On Martin, small improvement on the year before. I can honestly say that for every year bar one. It has been a steady and constant upward trend. He still can be a fair bit better defensively imo.
I think you are giving yourself way to much credit claw. You made a comment that I disagreed with totally. That's all. No nose out of joint.  If you care to look at the clubs website, there is an article that talks about Vlastuins improvement. So I'm not the only person that thinks your comments were off the mark.
Why shouldnt i give myself credit no one around here will thats for sure.
I made a comment that is backed up by others,  my eyes which dont get things wrong too often,   and statistically  in almost every area. I keep on saying it i trust my eyes before anyone at the club.
You actually read that crap that they put out and put credence to it wow.
The stuff put out backed up what my eyes saw. I saw that Vlastuin had become our second best defender behind Rance. This wasn't the case 2 years ago or even last year. His efficiency by hand or foot has increased to around 83% which is very high. So whilst his actual disposal numbers haven't changed, his effect has improved. His number of intercept marks in the backline have also gone up. These are things that I have seen with my own eys and are backed up with stats too.
I really don't care if you think you and a couple of others are right. I am very confident that my opinion is the right one and NO, I don't think the club is going that well on field as there are many holes in the list. However, Vlastuin is one of the things that is positive about our side. He is courageous and sure with the ball in hand and he has only played 3 years. I see him as a future captain as he leads by example and never takes a backward step on the field. He would be inspirational to play for in that regard.
Stagnation is definitely not the word that has described his year. But carry on with your critique as funnily enough I agree with you on many of your points. Just not this one!

FWIW I think Grimes is better than Flossy.
Flossy is just serviceable for mine.

Gave Dusty an 8.

If he plays a part in Bennell's arrival, it becomes a 9.

Yeah this is the footy section Willy, you'll find the jokes thread is in the General Discussion section.

OMG! To think someone doesn't think Vlastuin is Voss mk2 just yet!!  :o

Just for starters, Grimes played better in the elim. Personally, I put a lot of weight in finals performances. Cotch and Lids have also dropped in my estimation.

Grimes is quicker, taller (more versatile). Unlike Vlas, he's been hampered by injuries but every time he gets a decent run at it he becomes very valuable.

Vlas is harder, better reader of the play, I'll concede. He shows good signs, yes, but he ain't a superstar yet. He's not even star, no matter how much expectation you lump on him.

Maybe to say Grimes is "better" was a stretch, but I think it's a close call, all things considered.

You can save your snide remarks for now I reckon, fellas. Bring em back in a few years when your image of Vlas better reflects reality.

I agree on Grimes being a better player at the moment, but in a few years I reckon Vlas will better reflect peoples opinions of him not the other way around

Very well said. Someone know what they are talking about & watches the game. Stats don't always show how dominate a player can be
