Needs to tackle without leading with his head.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Townsend, Griffiths and Vickery all need Phil Narkle headwear.

If he's our tagger who did he tag?

Wasn't effective.

He wasn't really given a tagging/run with role as far I could tell.

Ironically I thought he looked better in his perceived weaker areas tonight - kicking and outside play - than he did  in his strengths - contested possession , tackling & shepherding. He certainly wasn't "protecting" Cotchin from Curnow in the first half. If he can can get both areas going at the same time he'll be more than useful.

Want to see more from the kid but would certainly keep playing him. Definitely has a crack!

He's slow and an ordinary kick. Well on his way to selection impunity simply because he "has a crack" and apparently Cotch needs more protection.

Thought he could have at least tested Murphys shoulder out. He was more fired up in NAB 3 than round 1.

Was just okay in fact I hardly noticed he was on the ground (yet to watch the replay). I think we need to give this guy a nickname including the word "blood". Has he played a game yet where he hasn't come off the ground under the blood rule?

This guy forward of centre with the ball in the space is the most frightening prospect for tigers fans. He's foot skills are shocking and his turnovers are killers. I'll give the kid some credit he's got balls and this comes through in his overhead marking but having blokes like him in the side isn't taking us forward.

So where's this midfield "enforcer", "protector" and "physical presence" we've been told about? I think I saw glimpses of him the hit & giggle matches, but sadly, he remains unsighted in the real stuff thus far....

Agree with this

Was another major disappointment last night

His kicking was deplorable

kicking from both teams was absolutely shocking. At half time l was thinking of just getting up & leaving. Dusty is the only reason l stay to watch you never know what's going to happen he is explosive  :snidegrin. if you were watching Townsend was injured in the 2nd quarter. He takes some big knocks. The team down a player don't help any. Too much overuse of the football we cause our own grief.
