So he arrived at the wobbles after they won the premiership in 2010.
They finished:

2010 Premiers

McCrae arrives as Head of developement.

2011: finished top lost GF.
2012: finished 4th lost PF.
2013: finished 6th lost EF.
2014: finished 11th
2015: finished 12th

It seems like he had a real impact in his last job.

 :facepalm
Are you saying it was his fault that the pies traded out all their premiership stars and remained at least competitive with all the youngsters that replaced them?
What I'm saying is exactly what I wrote & who are all these stars that have been traded out? Beams & Shaw

Seeing he was a head of development at the Pies and considering they quality of kids they've bought through the last couple of seasons reckon he's been very good at what he does.

Also read he won the AFL coaches association's most outstanding development coach back in 2014 so he is clearly rated by his peers
Yes WP, he was the Head of development  & yes they have quality young players who actually came in with very big wraps on them.
Other than the kids that have the wraps on them what else has developed that well?

On a side note Lachie Keeffe and Josh Thomas  have developed............  a taste for the  good stuff !
Apart from those that you mentioned, they lost or traded Jolly (number one ruck), Thomas (who before his ankle injury was a gun), Leon Davis,  Luke Ball, Harry O, Chris Dawes, Sharrod Wellingham, Alan Didak and Leigh Brown.

Now that is a lot of experience and some of those players are ver good players. So you would expect the side to slide when you replace all of those with youngsters.

So before you shoot off your mouth, go and do a little research. :whistle
Hahaha shoot MY mouth off ,take a gander at some of those spuds you just named.
What happened to all the STARS that were TRADED out?

All I see are retiree's ,hacks & pensioners.
But good on you for trying!
 :shh
You obviously did not understand the whole point of my post so I will try to make it as simple as possible for you.
You indicated the team went backwards with McCrae there. I have tried to indicate there were many other reasons for the team going backwards. The loss of experienced premiership players can not be underestimated. You have little idea about football if you think that hacks and pensioners win flags. They don't.
The constant loss of this experience has led to Collingwood spiralling downward.
This is a thread on McCrae. I think it is ridiculous that you have brought up a link to him and the down turn in Collingwoods fortunes. If you can't see that, you are a lost cause.
Hilarious, been called a lost cause by better than you Y&B but good stuff, love it.
BTW you had me @ Leigh Brown.

 :shh
The possibility of physical and mental collapse is now very real. No sympathy for the Devil, keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride.

Yeah a few of us were

Was it just a heads up? Coteries hated Craig in 2009.

A fair few people who were in coterie groups 6 years ago have moved on.
I am part of a coterie group. I was not asked for my opinion.
McCrae also has a very different job this time around. He is older and more mature and hopefully this will help him with his approach to people in general. Back in 2009, he was a relatively recently retired premiership player and was still a bit brash. I expect much more from him this time around.

Pretty much. Didn't ask our opinion as YBB seems to think.
