Chol just does not have any grit or work rate. Never tough in any contest even against smaller opponents. When we need him to stand up he goes missing. Trade or delist end of story.

Okay you've all had your say. This is a football thread. So snip it and get back to the footy topic!

No longer a requirement imo never has been really.

With
Nankervis, Soldo, Colina, Ryan and Ruck/fwd CC-J he is just not good enough and just not needed on the list.

Didnt we delist him and then re rookied him should have let sleeping dogs lie.

I would try him at CHB for a few games this year.

It reinvigorated Majak daw from memory. Like clearly Chol can’t make but if he can at least get a fist to it? My concern is that he has a bit of the vickerys I.e he picks and chooses when to do the grunt bodywork. I feel this could make him a liability as a defender

He's crap.

Looks handy against bottom dwellers that's about it.

No mongrel, nothing.

Just an athletic bloke with average ability in a great team.

Agree
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Yeah, Chol seems like a great character amongst the group

He has some fantastic skills and ability just dont think he has the hardness of ticker to make it as a gun footballer.

We've persisted long enough

Mabs had the most hitouts (25) on the ground last night but we got smacked in centre clearances 4 - 12  :P.

Chol was actually ranked on the AFL website as our third highest on the night  :o.

14 disposals (7k, 7h, 8c, 7u, 64.3% eff.)
5 marks (3 contested)
2 tackles
2 clearances
25 hitouts
3 intercepts
2 score involvements
180m gained
2 frees against
1 behind
70% time on ground.

This doesn't surprise me

The number of times he hit it forward towards our forward half and our mids were running the other way and the Suns kept at least one back defensive side of the circle was staggering

Is that Chol's fault or is that the fault of stoppage/clearance set up and our mids and by default the midfield coach?

Serious question BTW

Back to his actual game...

Mabs didn't play well because he lacks the one thing that Nank has by the truckload and that's aggression but it is clear he is a reasonable tap ruckman. Just think his performance was made to look even worse but the ineptitude of centre square set up and the mids

Clearly not good enough at AFL level. Unfortunately due to the lack of tall players available he will keep representing at the level.
