We were absolutely belted in that E/M. Lucky not to lose by 10 or 12 goals which would have been a fairer reflection on the game.
They had the ball nearly 50 more times.
They won the tackle count, they won the clearance count, they won the i/50 count and they smashed us in the c/p count. To top it off they generated 30 scoring shots to 16. All only stats but stats that confirm an awful lot to those who closely watched the game. They killed us no ifs or buts. no thanks to us but more to do with them not taking all of their opportunities we somehow stayed in the game on the scoreboard only.
There are blokes in the so called best 22. blokes who are bigger names than others who have not only failed in that big game but regularly failed in big games.
