After a 2-2 friendly draw with 12th ranked Mexico, the Socceroos remain in 27th spot in the latest FIFA Men's Rankings.

However, Australia is now the fourth best ranked AFC nation after Korea Republic (26), IR Iran (21) and Japan (19).

Graham Arnold's men face England and New Zealand in next month's October window.

Might be the only time Australia get a pitch this green against India in Asia. #AFCON2023

On the actual game, the Socceroos played pretty crap against a weaker opponent but did enough to get the win. Hopefully just blowing out the cobwebs.

I know this was two days ago but what a shocking way for the Socceroos to exit the Asian Cup. Arnold's 'tactics' in the last 10 minutes of regular time played right into South Korea's hands for them to equalise. Mind you it's not all the coach's fault when our forwards miss heading the ball into an open goal from 2m out which would've killed off the game :facepalm. Australian players' poor technical skills compared to their peers in the AFC is embarrassing.
