Deadly disease hits top draft hopeBy Craig O'DonoghueThe AgeNovember 23, 2005 ONE of the AFL's hottest draft prospects, East Fremantle's Mitchell Clark, is lucky to be alive after yesterday being diagnosed with the deadly meningococcal disease.Clark was rushed to hospital on Sunday after being seriously ill for two days. The 17-year-old had been on a weekend trip to Busselton, in the south-west of Western Australia, with friends when he broke out in a rash, started vomiting, had a fever and severe joint and muscle pain.AFL clubs were informed of the drama yesterday and they will be given a full medical report today.Doctors yesterday described his condition as stable and said that they expected him to make a full recovery.http://www.realfooty.theage.com.au/realfooty/articles/2005/11/22/1132421669599.html
